I think that 265's could be made to fit but more camber would be necessary. Plus you would need at least a 3mm front spacer to clear the shock. I'm already literally 2mm away from the front shock with the 255. I don't have camber plates on the car. You could definitely make it work with the addition of camber.

That's what I was afraid of, but thank you for the answer! 255/35 isn't a bad stretch at all and much easier fitment for simple drop on springs. Still deciding if I want to go squared setup or staggered

Square all day if you have x-drive. I'm actually likely going to try 265's on a new set of wheels I have coming. They will be 20" but they will allow me to better answer the question. It's possible that they won't require a spacer if there is still a slight stretch. The outer most point of the tire is a rim protector protruding. That may not end up sitting much differently on a 265.

I bought the insert rings I need to install, just been lazy to rip off the bumper and install them. I really didn't want to put out $600 for new headlights.
