That's the main point right there - figures aside the dyno session was invaluable for comparing the different settings and the gains made.

I also agree with your observation on the loosening up...I should ask you for your thoughts on BP ultimate diesel

Been out for a drive in D7 and its spinning the wheels in the first 2 gears, seems a lot more lively lower down, might be in my head when compared to the D8 but I have not driven it for 10 days so may have forgotten how it was.

Either way will leave on D7

Smee is bullying me to try D9. Will relent and try it tomorrow......

And with a combination of Torque Pro OBD on my tablet, DashCommand on my Android phone and my perf steering wheel, I should have all bases covered to log all the relevant data.

I had less kit strapped to the Wildcat when testing it!

Let us know how you fare with D9. Having set it to '9' with both maps C and E it didn't really seem to offer anything more for my car, and in fact the results showed a more negative effect.

I guess this is the point of testing and trial & error though, and setting 9 is perhaps just too aggressive on my particular engine.

With the torque I was seeing being produced in this setting, I'm not surprised you're lighting up the rears!

So are you around today Tuesday as I am trying to avoid painting and could catch up to see the car?

Filled the car to the brim and did a round trip on the motorway of 120 miles at a constant 70 MPH then refilled at the same petrol station.

The OBD said 53MPG but calculating it properly gave 48MPG so I would say that the tuning box throws out the computer by around 10%

Over a full tank I averaged 38MPG which was a lot of quick driving and not a lot of motorways

I was hoping mine would make more after it 'loosened up' but it made almost identical figures at 17k miles as it did at 1400 miles.

Hi am new to fourm. So plz take it easy if am posting in the wrong place ect...
Just seen you post about your bluespark and wondering if you could shed some light my way if possible and am also from Glasgow and where you got your car rolling road'ed I have also had a previous car in their,
Anyways more to the point my car is a bmw f30 330d xdrive bought a bluespark pro/got it as a gift but running into a bit of a problem
When first installed last week plugged everything in ect and put the ignition on box flashed blue like its supposed to but started the car and still flash blue so I emailed bluespark asking was it ament to flash blue or stay a solid blue thesy got back to me saying that was normal for my car so left it at that, a week later car was at idle popped the bonnet and now it was a solid blue light so I never really questioned it now went back to it a day later and now its back to flashing I just want to know if this is normal or what is going on with it any help would be very, very, much appreciated....

Honestly? It's probably ok, I think it's solid blue under load from distant memory, but I'd take it off and invest in a remap that isn't stressing your fuel system. With those able to be done via OBD now, easy to flash on and off, there's no advantage to the crude tuning boxes these days. That's coming from someone who's dabbled with a couple of different boxes now and ultimately went for a 'proper' tune.
