There are, but you have to leave a fob in the car.

I'm going to encourage everyone to watch this first. I get a feeling that the manufacturer may just not be totally upfront 🙄

Not sure if I understand your comment but the seats and the steering wheel are not heated by the engine, maybe only indirectly through the alternator?

Yes, correct. Seperate mechanisms. Both heat up quickly in temps way below 0

Technically you're supposed to just get in the car and drive it--best for the engine, though maybe not the driver.

I know if NJ remote starters are illegal in manuals--had a buddy almost killed because of one.

In most European countries it's illegal to leave the engine running in an unoccupied car. That's why.

BMW used to say it was because of some anti-idling law in Germany, but I don't know what made them change their mind since then.

Someone from Germany would have to confirm it, but everything I've been able to find says it's illegal there still. I bet the remote start option is country specific.

Lol same reason they don't have 4 door comfort access though it is in g20. Also took them forever to have apple car play even though you could get it in a Kia but they were first to have wireless apple car play at least :

It's forbidden to have a car idling unnecessary due to the emissions which could be avoided.
Penalty is 80€ or more depending on the severity.

...and if you remote start a manual car that's still in gear after removing the need to depress the clutch, you could run over someone from the comfort of your kitchen.
