X-ice is the worst winter tire I have driven. Have been driving them on my Audi for a number of years now. Already the first winter I realised that x-ice is translated as "not suitable for ice".
Good that you got rid of them.

Lol couldn't agree more. Had Blizzak WS70s long ago and Nokian Hakkapeliitta on our X3 now, both great. Figured it would be good to give the new WS90 a try.

I... mindlessly backed into a parked FJ Cruiser on the street last night. I was pretty tired and was trying to parallel park with a car riding my ass so i just kind backed in and completely forgot how to drive / ignored the back up sensors and the camera as I was trying to not hit the car immediately behind me and voila, smacked into the truck instead.

The truck's owner basically watched from the restaurant window and confronted me before realising I still had temp tags on my new car. Think he felt bad and eventually walked away.

Anyways, very thankful I was able to polish 90% of the marks/scuffs out and didn't destroy the parking sensor. There's a little dent that will remind me of my stupidity moving forward. Arrows point to where all the damage was when I smacked the truck.

You can't do that with plastic, unfortunately.

Ah yeah, I forget it's a plastic bumper, is there any type of heat with suction cupping they can do or is it a lost cause

You should check. If there's a crease it's probably there for good. For a dent though they can heat and rapidly cool and it should snap back pretty good. Plastic has a strong memory and wants to revert to its original form.

If they can do it should be a 15 minute job. They literally heat with a heat gun then shock it with cold compressed air, it's not complicated.

Yah the dent is in the detail where the m-sport bumper starts scooping in and downwards right above the reflectors where the left bottom arrow is pointing to. So in other words, not a simple pull it out on a flat surface. I thought about the heat gun but short of taking the bumper off, i'm not sure I can get my hand or tools back there to pop it out.

Likely I'm stuck with it unless I use a surface filler and I think that would only make it look worse.

Yes they're aluminium. Machined with a brush finish. I'm a mechanical technician, I say the quality is excellent.
PM me and I'll send you the link to where I purchased them

Bumper is extremely easy to remove, might be worth taking to some pro. At least they can tell you if it's possible or not worth your time.

I had to pay $1200 to get my car fixed for a similar minor incident recently. You got lucky I'm still mad at myself, I was just being careless, the sun was hitting me hard in the eyes.

Just coded the Rolls Royce chime with Bimmercode. Super easy and well worth the $30 of the app IMO. Haven't messed with anything else yet either.

my 2018 340i came with the digital cluster but I don't get the compass showing right above the bottom where the temp/mileage/time is, did you have to enable something to get it up or did it come on by default?

You need to code it. It is not an official feature. But easy to code.

Does Bimmercode has that capability?

Absolutely. That's how I coded it too. But if not mistaken it was in the expert mode. You can find info here, just need to search for 6WB coding: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=426

If you don't, send me a PM so that we don't create OT in this OT topic
