My n20 experience plus dyno
Hey everyone another post but for once not a question! I also wanna thank everyone who has answered my 509 questions. And also for dealing with my poor grammar on here. So I wanted to tell my experience from behind to end with my back story.
First bought this car about a year and a half ago, purchased in Hawaii on the island of Oahu while being stationed there in hawaii. I knew nothing about cars at the time. Couldn’t even change a tire lol. But through my slow process of trying to learn I have some sort of understanding now. But anyways got the car almost got a v6 Camero 🤦*♂️ Glad I didn’t. I saw there was the sport mode button pressed it and was hooked since. I started doing research about it, I read about the jb4 did something more looking and decided it was right for me. So impatient I got 1 day shipping lol. Plugged it in and loved it, definitely I very big difference over stock. I thought I was the fastest car on the road lol. Learned very fast far from it. Then about a week later I got a muffler rez delete loved that had my first little burples here and there couldn’t be happier. So as time went on I kept reading about it discovered what “Fbo” meant and that was my goal from there. I kept the car stage 1 for the rest of my time in the army, till I ETS and came back home. I got my last check from the army with my leave days in it so the check was exactly 2289.57 cents. I believe almost all of it went to the car. I ordered a VRSF catless dp and evolution race works charge pipe. Went to a local shop got it installed for 400$ and once again loved it. So after having the car like that for another few months, my cousin told me about Rk tunes. Said he was a good tuner.. so I drove about 40 minutes to the shop, very excited obviously handed him my 600$ he spent maybe 20-30 minutes flashing the car and I was on my way! The car sounded amazing I loved it. As for the performance aspect ehh didn’t feel any different from my jb4 sounded great though. I kept the car like this for awhile did regular maintenance and stuff along the way. I did notice a big performance gain when I changed the plugs. It deff woke the car up for me. Another month or two went by and my girlfriend surprised me with a injen intake ! Couldn’t have been happier it sounded sick took about 30 minutes to instal my self. The car sounded super cool could hear the turbo and a really cool woosh sound when you let off after a week or two I ordered the VRSF Intercooler.. this is where I started having problems. I installed it myself car ran great for a day.. then was having misfires like crazy the car wouldn’t drive smooth at all. I spent close to a week checking for leaks I took it to a local shop ran a smoke test no leaks. Everyone’s telling me it was the tune I didn’t believe them I swore it was something I did. I emailed rk he was convinced it was also mechanical. After posting 100 questions on here and basically getting the same answer.. which was just get bm3. I decided I would I just got it a few days ago I flashed it to e30 mix stage 2. And wow I couldn’t have been happier it was hands down the best decision I have made with this car. It was night and day the power up top how smooth the car ran everything I couldn’t have been happier with it. But with me wanting to get every last bit of hp out of this thing I asked another 100 questions on the forums. Got roasted about half the time but someone was always kind enough to help. I ordered my stage 1 turbo upgrade. I went with Vargas because they were the only ones able to ship it relatively fast. And they did took 2 days to get to ny from California. So today I picked the car up from the shop empire Performance they installed the turbo dynoed it and tuned it. There was a little bit of miscommunication between us but it was more on my end. They didn’t no there was e30 mix in the car so he didn’t go very aggressive with timing and boost. I’ll be bringing the car back soon for more dyno tuning. The car made 283 whp on 93 oct at 20lbs. There is definitely room for more power. We are thinking about going to about 23lbs Of boost and some sort of e85 mix. Very confident we will get 320whp I’ll be very happy with that. So at the end of the day I’m happy so far with the outcome. I’ll post the pic of the dyno graph I also have a lot of sound clips and a lot of runs with other cars if anyone would like to see. I would post on here but I’m not very good with it also don’t know if I’m aloud to post any “racing” In Mexico thanks to who ever reads this short novel. Sorry once again for all the questions and terrible grammar. I can’t figure out how to post videos so if anyone wants to see any just comment I’ll try and figure it out. Or if anyone has a question ! |

Better stick to 93. Stock fuel pump has issues running ethanl with just the stock turbo. (Hence why BM3 only did an e30 map as opposed to e40, e85 etc)
With a larger turbo your going to be near capacity on the fueling system using 93, let alone any ethanol. Also, if its your daily...you better get rod bolts done.

None in talking with Carly on bm3 he has a tune full e85 on stock system he says the n20 stock fuel system can handle it. I’m going to go with the upgrade lpfp from fuel it regardless just to be safe though

Anyway, I was asking BettyFkinCrocker if he's got anything done fuel-wise to accommodate the E60 map he's running on his car

Speaking of having a fun times in "Mexico", the other day i got roasted by a Challenger V8, but not sure which model, it sounded badass, i thought i could stay up with him, i was maxing out all my gears up thru 6th, and he still gapped me like two to three cars easily. I only have a 93 BM3 Stage 1 and no other mods, i just wonder if i had a Stge 2 could have been more fun, lol..

LPFP won't help all that much, the limitation is with the HPFP. rjd_F30 None. Stock fuel system, but also stock turbo. HPFP starts to crash anything above e60@21lbs.
