Its a 328i F30 N20 with 129000 miles on it. It wont shift out of park. Anybody have any experience with this and or ideas? I'm getting it towed into the Stealership tomorrow for diagnostics.

I know this is off topic but question, you're at 129k miles any problems/issues with timing chain?

I have checked the chain through the oil fill cap and it does seam to have excessive play in it. I am seriously thinking of doing the replacement myself. It feels like a ticking time bomb. Problem is the car is super clean and in very good shape. It was a florida car and has no rust. After I get the Mechatronics repaired thats next up.

Same here! I just paid my car off definitely thinking of replacing the timing chain, wondering how much it would cost?

Welp.....
Picked it up from the dealership yesterday. One week and 3500.00 smackaroos later.
They replaced the Mechatronics unit and so far all is well with it. I told him I wanted the old unit and he said it would cost another 800 bucks because of the core charge. But they were good enough to let me look at it in a box! LOL... Next up is the oil pan gasket. They quoted 824.00 for that
693.00 for the right rear axle seal and 418.00 for the oil filter housing gasket.
Anyone have links for DIY vids of any of those for my car? 2014 328i F30 N20
