340i 2017 xdrive Whining Noise When Driving

Hi all, since servicing my BMW 340i '17 xdrive (mods MPPSK, sometimes driving with Stage 1 BM3) with 50.000 km's has a whining/flute sound when accelerating. The sound is immediately gone when lifting the gas pedal.

It sounds something like this guy on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1k6AJd1l0I

They say it's the differential bearings.

Quite strange for a car with 50.000 km from 2017, isn't it?

Have checked for other issues already (Visual inspection for cracked things under the hood, there aren't) and the sounds come from under the car. Don't think it has anything to do with the engine. Logs look normal.

Anyone experienced something similar with a similar car?

Update for others with this prolem: i got a bad differential bearring. 3 months out of warranty, but BMW pays 50% of the costs for a complete new differential. Still € 1.400,- though I wonder why this is happening on a 60.000 km and 3 year old car. Where is the quality? :

I got my transmission replaced because of whining a few weeks ago. Would you describe your issue in more detail because the video is not giving me anything that I can compare my problem to?

Whining high pitched sound from the rear, under the car

Only occurring while driving at higher speeds 120 km/h or above, the higher the speed the higher the pitch sounds

Sounds go away when lifting, immediately starts when stepping at the gas pedal

I'm not sure but I only heard it after they replaced all my 4 tires and went in for service. Before servicing no issues, however, that's already 20k km's in the past. Might have nothing to do with this. Sound definitely not coming from cupped tires.

If you are spending that much you may as well just get an LSD from Quaife or Wavetrac. Else you should just buy a used oem open diff.
