Sales guy says I can choose when I sign for the car and still have both options locked in.

2016 320i xDrive Sedan

Total MSRP (after Destination & Handling): $40,840
Sales Price (before incentives): $38,853 and he says they will not budge on this price

Options: Sport Package, Glacier Silver paint, Lighting Package, Heated Front Seats, Power Front Seats, Drivers Assistance Package

Basically, is $38,853 before incentives a fair sales price? He is giving me a shade under $2k off MSRP on a custom order.

Thanks guys

Sammy
What are the dealer fees and what is the negotiated money factor in case you do lease? If you do find yourself leasing, you should go for max MSD's to bring the money factor down.

I think the price is good (based off edmunds), but I'm ordering the car and worried about the owner loyalty expiring before I take delivery and that can't be locked. My other issue is that I have a '13 335xi whose lease is up in July and was planning on pulling ahead, but that might not be there as well. Any thoughts on how likely the pull ahead and owner loyalty will still be there in two months when my ordered car gets in?
I am facing this same issue. I qualify for the college grad discount and the loyalty credit, but the client advisor told me that I could only lock the college grad discount if I put a deposit down for build this month. Any thoughts as whether I should be able to lock the loyalty credit or whether I would be able to take advantage of any other credit that may be available once I take delivery?

Loyalty sadly can't be locked, but I locked MF, lease credit and residual. Got the car for under invoice per edmunds. College grad is always available you shouldn't have to worry about locking it. Loyalty is usually available too so I'm not too worried about that. My big thing is lease pull ahead, but the dealer said they would hold my ordered car for a few weeks if I wanted them to as to avoid making multiple payments on my old car and new one. Also just because you lock things now, if the incentives are better once the car gets in you can use those instead. For me I think the rates here in March are probably going to be better though.

Why not put down max MSD and only 4?
What packages does the car come with?

Hey Guys, another newbie here. I've gone through the Lease thread and browsed this thread. Already been a huge help. Below is an offer I'm considering. Let me know what you guys think.

340i M Sport Package, Cold Weather Package, Drivers assistance package, Tech Package, Adaptive M Suspension.

MSRP: 56,595
Sell Price: 52,473
Rebate: 1500 (lease credit) + 500 (usaa)
Taxes, Tags, and Fees: 2,866.40 (VA Tax)
Total: 52812.35
MF: 0.00155
Max MSD's: .00049
Final MF: .00106
RESIDUAL: 61%

Monthly= $533

Owe at Signing: $3,850 (max MSD's) + 2,866.40 (taxes, tags, fees) + $925 (acq. fee) + (533) 1st Month = $8,174

I think I can get them down on the monthly. Possibly get more for my trade-in. I know the MF is higher than the lowest possible. I asked, they didn't budge. Also, I don't have the top of the Top Tier credit. So I don't know if I can push it farther.

Thats for 10k miles a year. I calculated my miles and I think I drive around 10.5k miles a year. Should I do the 10k and purchase additional miles? Just hope to be offered a pull-ahead? Or play it safe and go for 12k miles a year?

Thanks in advance! Can't wait to "officially" be part of the group soon!

Yikes thats a lot of cash due at signing. The mileage question is something only you can plan for and you would know best.

You won't get the base MF if this is your first BMW lease.

I think you could get the selling price down to 51,500 - 52,000.

Which dealer are you using?

I'm on my first BMW and got base MF. I have good credit but def not la creme de la creme.

I would push harder on The MF, unless your credit or income are poor, I'm sure other dealers would give you base MF .

Best of luck on the purchase.

I'm using BMW Fairfax. They have seemed to be pretty upfront so far.

Do you have any recommendations?

Also, I should have mentioned that I am trading in my vehicle as well. Thats 6k that is going to these costs. So I'll only be out of pocket around 2k. Is that the correct way to go about things?

As long as you avoid putting actual cash down (which you are), and putting it towards the MSD's, you are in good shape.

You're not far off from what should be a target MSRP. Have you tried comparing with other dealerships? Seems you are VA based, but Passport BMW or BMW of Silver Springs come to mind.

Woah! Huge bump in residual for 10k mile lease. That helps from our side of things right?

I don't see the "BMW loyalty" program listed anywhere on the BMW website. Does anyone know if the $1,000 credit/incentive for recent BMW ownership (within the last year) is still available?

Wow! The April numbers look great!

I originally had my deal wrote last month and was able to get the $1500 credit (which I believe was lockable) for a 36/mo 12k mile lease. Since the credit is now $1000, would I be able to keep my $1500 credit and also take advantage of the better residual (340i)?

Also - does a new credit app need to be submitted after a certain amount of time?

I didn't take delivery yet, but should be within the next week or so.

If your MSRP is still 57k, u save about 1700 with the 3% residual bump.

You can't double dip and take the 1500$ from last month and use this months residuals. If you qualify for the lease credit, you'll be ahead about 1200$ compared to last month.

The loyalty is the only 1000$ incentive this month, the other 1000$ one is for purchase only.

I believe to lock into this months numbers, they'll run another credit check. For some reason though, they did a credit check back in February for me and I have to see it on my credit report.

Damn, I won't quality for the loyalty credit. I believe last month's credit was lockable, so does that mean the deal is still good for the month?

Or is my dealer locking me into March rates and just pocketing the extra 500.

I feel like the dealer is making it up because on BMWs website it says "$1500 credit towards the MSRP"
Did you ever get an answer on this? What happened when you took delivery? Curious to see what happened.

I originally had my deal wrote in February, and was able to have it re-wrote in March to take advantage of the $1500 credit.

Your locked in for 2 months.

So you haven't had a BMW within the past 12 months?

Also haven't taken delivery. I still have about a month lol
