It's great to see that we as a community can still be unbiased and honest to say that the comparo is unfair.
That alone says a lot. On a second note. Why write a review on cars that don't stack up properly. Stupid if you ask me....this comparo is worthless now. |

What was on the BMW that made it so much more expensive than the other cars? What was wrong with the Audi that a 3L engine with a supercharger had such a low output?

On another note, my personal bias is confirmed. I was sure I'd be happy so long as the Merc didn't win lol. I'd buy an Audi in a heartbeat. Both Audi and BMW know how to make drivers cars imho. The Mercs as of recent seem more Lexus-like in trying to appeal as "luxury" over luxury-sport. |

^ yeah, I don't get it either, I'm guessing they tied, BMW more fun to drive, Audi more well rounded, Benz ugly inside and out.
*yawn* I have just about given up on car magazines, they are usually comparing apples and oranges or favoring whomever gave them the most advertising dollars...

seems like the BMW would have won if it was 10-15k cheaper(which is easy when you drop some of the unnecessary options). thats if price paid a factor in the outcome.

This is not like the US A4.
The US A4 is below the 328i. This Dubai A4 is between the 328i and the 335i. The US S4 is above the 335i... You can't compare apple to apple between the Audi 4 and the BMW 3... They just don't stack up exactly. Entering the S4 in this comparo would be biased the other way. Anyway you can't just compare engines, there is so much more to it. |

Audi has become the most balanced, something BMW usually excels in. I really have to give Audi their due for what they have done in a little over a year. I was one of those naysayers that said there would be no way Audi would outsell BMW and would never be up to par in terms of driving and here we are today where Audi looks like they will surpass BMW and their lineup seems to be better driver cars.
From a BMW perspective, it really is unfortunate to see the direction they're heading in. I'm not saying the F30 and F10 are bad cars, they're great cars but in ways we don't expect them to be. With the playing field being pretty much even across the segment (forced induction, power steering), BMW isn't doing a good job at differentiating themselves like they were when they were using N/A engines. |

Must not be 'fully loaded'. My MSRP was just shy of $57k and was missing a random option or two. I could see it cracking $60k+ with all boxes checked.
