2015 F30 Brake Sensor

Really quick question. I'm replacing my brakes on my 2015 320i. Are the front and rear brake sensors the same? Ty bb.

They're not. They only need to be replaced if they tripped. If only one tripped only that one needs to be replaced.

One indy said regardless tripped or otherwise, the sensor should be replaced with pads(@60k-70k miles) or else it will corrode. BS or not?

I didn't see anything about the sensors to draw that conclusion. Doing it myself I wouldn't bother to change it, knowing if it does go south on me I can pull the wheel and replace it in fifteen minutes. If you're not doing your own brake work the cost of having someone else replace it is probably four times the cost of the sensor, so you might as well have it replaced along with the pads.

I'm replacing mine tomorrow and spent maybe 20$ total on new sensors so it seems like a no brainer to replace them.

It's an electronic measurement device. Just replace them when you replace the pads for that end of the car. If you stay aware of your maintenance you don't really need them because you will notice when your pads are getting low and need to be replaced. And it's one per axle. I made the mistake of buying twice as many because I though each corner was measured independently. Now I have spares.
