Rough idle, stalling, hesitation

Hey guys,

Im trying to pinpoint and issue with my 17 340ix.

Im getting rough idle at lights where the whole car shakes sometimes. It randomly stalls out as well and i have to resart the engine. Acceleration is sometimes hesitant from 1-2 and 2-3 at 3.5-5k RPMS I can feel a loss of power before it comes back on when i go from 3rd to 4th. Im uncertain if it just turbo noise or a vacuum hose leaking, but i can hear faint air hissing noises coming from what sounds like the front undercarriage.

I just cleaned the MAF sensor so its not that.

First, what do you guys think im up against?

Second, i personally think its one or more vaccum lines, so how many lines are there to the B58? Is this an easy diy if so?

Honestly it could be anything, but i need to find out and ill likely diy if not too difficult.

Thanks

Suggest that you start by finding a scan tool and check for fault codes.

Also want to add, I changed plugs and coil packs at 50k miles. Car is now at 56k with these issues. Just did further research and people are bagging on the Champion plugs. Thats what I replaced the stock plugs with. Idk.

Another thing is the vehicle is smooth in higher gears and 50+ mph

I may re-replace plugs. Genuine BMW or NGK?

All advice still welcome, just giving an update into my own research here.

Update.

Seems the constant to this equation is the hot weather. Minnesota has been averaging 90 degree temps the past couple weeks. Last night when driving home it was 75 degrees and she ran just fine.

It's been 100+ in Cali this last week, I don't have any issues with the car running rough. Defiantly sounds like a boost or vacuum leak.

I would replace with NGK but the OEM Champion Iridums are fine there is no need to bag on them. I ran and tracked on those for 30k miles and did not even know they were Champions.

That's not my point. You should log your engine parameters anyhow, stock or tuned. Absent codes that's your next step.
