Logs were taken with 11ºC ambient temperature and IATs are therefore suitably low at around 22-25ºC though.
how does the STFT parameter work? it varies from +10 to -0.6.. i am more accustomed to BM3 logs where a .85 STFT means that fuel system needs to pull back 15% fuel.

Do any clean logs exist for B58 motor that do not pull timing? Seems like even stock tunes have some amount of pull. Trying to get a feel for how much timing pull is too much, etc... I've heard the E30 maps work well (I don't have E30 near me), but I wonder what the timing looks like. I'll try to find one.

Wish all my logs were that clean!

Plugs are gapped to 0.022" which has also helped.

This is another log on the same day, same 99RON fuel.

Small corrections in the mid range are ok but should disappear as you near the redline.

Hm. Actually I have also on the stock tune *mppsk* some retarded ignition timing (plugs almost new).

Wonder how long BMW's MPPSK cars will last.

Is running ethanol with upgraded fuel pump maybe the solution ??

I tried my best to adjust it back to where I thought it was before. When I started it in the morning no check engine was on, drove like a grandma for three days, until I decided to do a little pull before the log and it seemed semi decent. (I made a appointment with a local shop to check out the wastegate on Wednesday) Not sure if it’s all in my head but I think something might be slightly off. (Spark plugs gapped to 0.022)

Hey guys update. Installed the stock tune. Drive around for a bit. Did a log/pull.
Here it is.

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5f15...729b5e414d5bed

Deleted the stage 2 ACN tune and re-downloaded it/installed it.
It feels a bit better, here’s the reinstalled log/pull

Apparently it didn’t stop recording ha. Any input?

Thanks.
Hi, as alyabiev said, no good for Virtual Dyno. Looks like you you went through a wormhole at 4880 RPM.

Your log itself looks like the car is happy. What fuel are you using now?

This one was OK though. Looks more like a Stage 2 E30 result, pretty good.

* another update:/
Used Boostane to get “98 octane” this is after driving it around for 40 min

I’m trying to learn how to read logs, so excuse my questions. Something seems wrong with cylinder no.4?
How bad is my timing still? Would a custom tune fix the issue?

Thanks guys

Doesn't look good. Double or triple the amount of Boostane and try again?

Have you considered buying a drum E85? I understand pump E85 is scarce in Nor Cal, but you should still be able to get it by the drum for a reasonable price.

The stock tune log you listed earlier looks OK. More than 12 PSI from spool through mid-range and 10 - 11 PSI up top and timing starts to go bad.

Do you have the Stage 1 ACN91 map? If so maybe try that.

I’ll be going back to stage 1 first thing in the morning. I’ll have to do some research on getting e85 as the nearest station is about a hour and a half away from me.
A locally owned gas station does sell VP 5 gallon drums of race gas though, I can definitely see that getting expensive though.

Thanks a lot man I really appreciate your help

Still using UK 99RON but I think the fuel quality is better than earlier in the year.

Been running this 93Oct Stage 2 tune for a good few hundred miles.

Only other changes I've made recently is replaced the stock mid pipe and silencer for the BCS mid pipe and M Performance silencer.

Also added AFE dry drop in and scoop.

It sounds so much better now and pulls well.

Without access to ethanol its probably the best I'm going to get.

Last mod now will be the Quaife or Drexler not many used ones around at the minute.

I always run the momentum 99 but recently the quality seems to be better as I have alot less timing corrections on the MHD 93 Oct map.

I've also tried a 2 full tanks of Shell V Power over the last few months but didn't see any difference in the logs, still poor timing etc.

The fuel quality seems to vary week to week.

I just threw in a fresh set of .022 plugs, I also put some E30 in my tank. I’m going to log a run or two later. Hopefully the timing is better.

Just tried new 94 fuel running the 91 map and timing seems a bit off still in cyclinders 1 and 2. Should I be getting aiming for more that 10.5 degrees of timing. Also seem to have a knock even just as I am lifting off any ideas on this and if it’s a problem.

May have to try a small amount of e85.

First pass on OTS stage 2 map, E30 and fresh plugs.
https://datazap.me/u/devil-doc/ots-s...36-37-38-39-43

Second pass on OTS stage 2 map, E30 and fresh plugs.
https://datazap.me/u/devil-doc/ots-s...35-36-37-38-39

Seems like the first run was WAY better than the second one

We’ll, went back to stage one and the car seemed off still.
Checked the plugs, threw the stock plugs back on after noticing the ngk’s seemed a bit shot. Here a log with factory plugs, on stage 2

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5f17...0b436abcb77602

Opened up a ticket with BM3 and they’re currently looking at my logs, hope to get the issue fixed. Again, thanks for the help guys, appreciate it.

Have you looked at using the E98 from Trackstuff.co.uk - 19L for £64

How much E98 would you need to add to 93Oct/99RON to make a 60 Litre tank of E30?

I’m going down there after lunch to
Pick some ethonal up called Alex this morning. I’m going to try e15 to start that way a tin will last 3 full ups. E30 would be a Tin per tank so not really feasible.
