I think the N55s eat a bit of oil from my experience if driving the car hard and/or a lot of short trips where the car doesn't have the chance to warm up to correct operating temp. Make sure to not beat on the car or go hard into boost until car is warmed up (I'm assuming this is given, but just checking).

I have to throw a quart every couple thousand miles. I noticed it more when I was doing the recommended 7.5-10k mile interval oil changes. Now I change every 5k miles just for preventative maintenance. I am also running a bigger turbo at 400whp/450wtrq + and I don't daily my car so I don't notice it. I'd say an additional quart every 5k miles is about the norm for me - It seems to be the same from completely stock, tuned (FBO, stock turbo) and now PS2 turbo.

Yeah my car is all stock, no performance upgrades really so I will find out what's going on and report back once the car is back from the service, will be taking in sometime this week.

The oil leaks can be sneaky to find. But they are generally one of the areas I mentioned

With that must Oil consumption or leak,

it would end up on your Belly Pan.
so drop your Belly pan first before tracing it and finding a sneaky leak.

check Belly Pan for signs.

I have an X-Drive so it made it even harder to find the hairline crack above my front differential!

Cracked X-Drive oil pan and engine mount. I rebuilt the car and it was front end collision. Oil pan always had a slow leak, thought it was the gasket but turns out it was actually a hair line crack in the aluminum pan itself

Luckily it was the Pan, and not the engine.

Definitely nice to have a $60k car with no miles for $20k though. Not shockingly, everyone wants to buy them from me for $28-30k so definitely worth it. When I get my lift, I'll be back in the game. Sold the old house and lift and haven't done it in 2 years
