I'm having a drive train error message om my F31 318d 2013.
Error Code 247500 - Rail Pressure Plausibility Quantity Controlled, Rail Pressure Too Low/ Positive control deviation. Triggers under heavy acceleration beyond 3000 revs, happens every time apart from when the engine hasn't fully reached normal temperature. When I check live data at full throttle above 3000 rpm the actual rail pressure deviates from the specified value, The actual pressure is about 5-10% lower, only at full throttle and high revs. This made me think it was the high pressure pump, I therefore changed the HPP but still the same error. ![]() Also changed the rail pressure sensor, no luck. Fuel filter changed and pre pressure is the same (3.9) no matter what. Any ideas? Pressure regulator or a remap maybe? |

The pressure regulation valve on the rail sometimes causes this problem.
I would look at the metering unit on HPFP (if it's second hand) or the rail control valve. A very poor remap can do that as well.

I fitted a brand new Bosch high pressure fuel pump including the quantity control valve that is on the HPFP.
The only thing I haven't changed is the rail pressure regulator that is on the fuel rail itself. Would you start with a remap or change the rail pressure regulator? Last edited by Ronnie79; 10-27-2020 at 03:32 PM.. |

Yes, according to the previous owner it was "optimized" and remapped at a tuning company to have similar power as the 320d.
It has this error code since I bought it 6 months ago. |

If possible, I would revert back to stock flash (use esys to overwrite or update the DDE), and then test for a while.

Now I have also changed the fuel pressure regulator, still no luck. any other ideas?
What do I need to revert it back or modify the map my self? What kind of hardware and software do I need? I have worked with a few different aftermarket fuel injections in the past mapping performance cars but I find it a bit confusing with this. All I find is how to remap etc but not how to actually get there, how to connect to the ecu etc. |
