Has it been cold, like freezing recently? With a remote catch can, it’s possible for moisture collection (along with any other condensable engine vapor), and obviously worse if the lines freeze closed, if it’s that humid/dense for long.

How long is your daily commute? Does the car have a chance to warm up to operating temps? My brother use to dump a catch can full of water atleast once a month during the colder months on his turbo IS300. His commute is under 10 minutes ,so his car never reached operating temps.

Those things are pretty much a waste of time on N55s. You're collecting condensation in a metal can that freezes in winter. On a normal 15 minute drive your car would burn off that water and send it out the exhaust, now you have to manage the liquid level in a canister that has marginal value. These cars have very little blow by into the intake system, at 60k mine had a minor film but no accumulation.

As of right now I have 52k miles just got it as an extra little supporting thing. But ya my normal commute is about 15 minutes normally let the car idle for 3-5 mins before I drive it so the oil can warm up a little.
