Well it's going to vary slightly depending upon whether it's an XDrive or RWD model. Then perhaps another slight variance in tires that are on the car and then who was driving and how they launched the car. Then you probably should make sure they are testing a stock vs stock model and not one that's had the MPPK added. (or anything else) But in any case I would stick with what BMW lists for the car officially as that should be a safe number.
Disclaimer: Your actual results will vary depending on your car's condition, optional equipment, and how and where you drive.

1. Manual vs auto 2. Tires 3. Track 4. Driver 5. RWD vs xDrive 6. Etc. If you average all the recorded times out there though, I think you're looking at 4.8ish.

I think the sub 5 seconds numbers are more consistent with the automatics, especially with x-drive. I have a 335i manual, and using the M Sport timer app (I have no idea if its accuracy is acceptable), I'm barely able to break sub-6 seconds short of thrashing my tires and/or transmission. I should add that I feel like I have a slower 335 as far as assembly performance variations are concerned. I've been relatively unimpressed with power output of the N55 (especially compared to both the N54 and B58...of course the B58 should feel more powerful, but it felt like the old N54 to me).

N20 apparently posts a 5.6 second 0-100km/h time. From what I've read, the inline-6 models will do 4.6-4.8 second 0-100km/h times. I've personally done a 5.8 as my best run, but that's with shitty run-flat tires and a less than ideal launch.

The Believe the official original 2013 F30 0-60 time (RWD) is:
Of course this is different with xDrive. The xDrive did not affect the 328i 0-60 times much but lowered the 335i 0-60 times 0.2 seconds (better launching). Also notice that the manual in the 328i lowered the time but it is reversed for the 335i. ![]() ![]()

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...ve-test-review It's all about tires, wheels, driver, and road surface. When I first got my car I timed quite a few launches (stupid I know). Some where as low as 5.3 and some were over 7, even 8 seconds. I thought it was interesting how much a bit of extra slippage or a sloppy shift or traction control (if enabled) could affect the times, while at the same time not making much of a perceptible difference in terms of actual driving experience. You can have slow runs that feel fast and fast runs that feel slow. Last edited by donkey; 12-28-2016 at 08:09 PM.. |

Here's how BMW lists the 340i (RWD)
340i Sedan 3.0 liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder 4.8s 0-60 MPH 320 Horsepower BMW used to list the 335i (RWD) as a 5.2s 0-60 w/ 300 Horsepower. Their times are more realistic for the average of all the cars manufactured and "normal" drivers, unlike someone like Car & Driver or Motor Trend who has no issue thrashing the car in the extreme to see how low of a time they can get it to write an article and then doesn't have to worry about keeping it for years after the fact.

I'm going to jump in here and piss someone off I'm sure. Have a 2015 328 xdrive with the 8sp sports trans and bms jb+ And launch control. With half a tank of 93, just the driver and 65 degrees outside I consistently run 0 to 60 in 4.8 flat and 13.1 at 103 in the 1/4. Keep in mind the JB plus was 200 bucks. Another thing to know it which I don't think people are considering but is important with the f30 N20 is mileage increasing hp up until about 25k. I'm putting 260 to the wheels and similar torque.
