I NEED A DROP BAD! b14 on backorder, HELP!
New wheels are here, tires on order, I need a drop ASAP!
Tried to order b14 from the only place that showed them in stock, got an email that they are NOT in stock. Does anyone know ANYWHERE that might have the 47-264625 kit in stock? If not I need another suspension suggestion. Car is a 2013 335i Xdrive. Wheels are 20x8.5 et30 square Can anyone recommend another coilover $1,000 max budget?? I only need height adjustment not dampening, car will never be tracked. Are Solo Works trash? ST? BC? What's my next best option? I am cool doing a spring and strut setup if I know the drop will be right, I just figured adjustable height takes the whole guessing game out of it. Please help I am tired of researching, I just want to move on! Thank you in advance! |

PM sent. For your budget, the Bilstein PSS are really good but if they are not in stock then the ST would be next best I'd say. They are basically rebranded KW V1 coils.

I got the last set of b16s on Earth from TDC automotive UK. Check them out .. there may be a set hiding under the table over in UK/eu. Shipping was like 80 .. and then 70 for customs, so I over paid by about 120 to actually get a set in time for spring.
I spoke to Bilstein a few days ago about a technical question and also asked about the backorder. "Probably end of June" for anything he said. If I hadn't found that I would have got the kw v3. Which ... I may look at anyway as there is a clunking noise I cannot get rid of that started happening 2-3 weeks after install. It may be the top hat is no good. More importantly I also can't get the front low enough ... I hate to do it again but am considering options. Last edited by B58 parts; 03-24-2018 at 11:14 AM.. |

Is this spoken from experience or just what you read from a few other people?

I am getting pretty frustrated with this whole thing...
I would be down to get bilstein b8 with HR sports, but I can't find bilsteins in stock anywhere. Koni doesn't make a shock set for xdrive either? Are there any other shock options for xdrive and HR springs? I am shocked how few suspensions options there are currently for xdrive. Any help would be appreciated, I have fresh wheels and need a drop to put them on! |

Personally, I would recommend ordering the B14s through a reputable dealer (even though they are back ordered) and waiting it out. I have these coilovers and they are totally worth the wait IMO. A few places show 4-8 week delivery (direct from Bilstein), but it might be easier to contact Bilstein directly and ask.

Thanks for the reply. I took your advice and I just called Bilstein US...they said the b14's are on back order until at least the end of June. I am in the northeast and our summer's are short, I need a drop in the next 2 weeks.
I could try to hunt down a set of b8s and just do a spring drop, but I am seeing conflicting part numbers for the b8s for xdrive. Can anyone with xdrive and the B8s confirm the front and rear part numbers? |

ST does not make coils for f30 AWD... sucks.
I have read a lot of bad things about BC, so its basically either step up to $1,500 KW or try to find some b8 in the corner of some warehouse. I am actually really surprised at just how limited the options are for awd. |

i have no idea how low they go, ride, or problem, if any with rake, but koni has a non height adjustable complete and h&r has a height adjustable complete coilover.

I agree spend a little extra and get something decent ... Which right now just about points to only KW. Bilstein really screwed everything up by stopping operations for 6 months right when everyone buys shocks. You'd think they'd try to do that move as an add and keep some things running along..
The stock dampers are horrible. The whole thing is built around the stiff runflats, which are just as horrible. Two wrongs make a right. |

Okay. Never had a ride quality issue with my set (on an Audi), but I did also opt for the swift spring upgrade, higher rates + valving, and poly washers to prevent spring bind. All in was cheaper than a set of bilsteins or kw new
