Avin backup camera view vs others?

Hey guys, Anyone bough the Avin 10" screen along with the backup camera?

I bought a Naviks backup camera which died on me and replaced it with the avin one and the camera seems to point down a lot, it catches the bumper as it should but I can barely see anything behind me other then the street thats right there maybe 5 feet total, the other camera I feel showed me a bigger view where I can see cars in the parking lot behind me from a distance but this one all I see is pavement. Do you guys have the same results or maybe a better camera to add at a similar price? thanks

I feel like with the other camera I was able to see all the cars parked behind me, with this camera as you can seeing the pic, I barely see ones right behind me

I'm guessing there's no way to adjust the angle of the camera? I'd definitely like to know if there's a better option also if that's the view that we would get from Avin's cameras.

no way to adjust unfortunately, I even took the camera apart to see if there was a way to turn the lens up a little. the view is pretty useless honestly unless someone or something is right behind within a few feet

I ended up purchasing a camera from Technetronix. Hopefully it can integrate into AVIN's system. It was only 60 dollars, so not too much money to test out to see if it works

Finally got around to installing the cam from Technetronix. I'm pleased with it so far. Especially being that it was only 60 something dollars.

Here's a pic. Excuse the messy garage... kids.

This ended up working on the Avin?

Are you using the HU red wire or the backup light for power?

Are the overlay lines still dynamic?

Do you think it's worth switching them out? Mine catches the bumper too..

I tapped into the red wire from the headunit for power.

The overlay lines still work as you'd expect them to.

I'll have to go test it out the camera in a different parking situation than my garage to get another gauge on the angle the camera is positioned, but if you're dissatisfied with the AVIN version, this one was pretty easy, other than the pain of running the wire. Also when I had a question about power (before I knew the HU had a red power wire to tap into), the guys from Technotronix gave me a call and gave me several options on getting power to the camera. So they were good on support.

How did you connect the wires? From eBay it looks like you get the camera, trunk handle and a red/yellow RCA like cable you run through the trim.

Is there a video module you connect to?

Also, is there a way to get rid of those red boxes? They're so distracting! I don't have PDC.
