Key fob replacement

Alright so I'm a dumb dumb. The f30 I got came preowned with only one key. I never got a spare thinking I won't lose. Turns out I did. I'm a pilot and left it in the flight deck of one of the planes I fly. I'm reaching out to the other crew members who flew. But anyone know how much a replacement key fob is and options to make it cheaper?

Take your registration to a dealership and order a new fob. Mine was $372 before tax.

But I synced in myself since I had my original key. Not sure if you can do that without the other key.

Hopefully someone found your key.

Are you in the US?

If yes. Its gonna be about 350 to 550. More if you go to the dealer most likely.

When I priced it out cause I thought I lost one most places were 500+ and the dealer was like 700+? There are less expensive options but I wouldn't be comfortable with most of them.

I lost a key in a recent move, so I'm also grimacing at the idea of paying the dealer $400 for my stupidity.

For pilots, it's going to be expensive. For others, it's going to be about the same.

I got mine at a dealership for about $450. They just needed my VIN to order it.
