Unhappy What is that plug on my obd interface?

Hello,

I found there is an obd plug with cable on my obd base.
It comes from inside, but never see this on any google searches.

because of it, my obd cover can't be closed completely.
just wondering what is it? looks like it's not stock part.

It's on my used 2016 f30. just bought it last month.

Thanks!

Yeah that’s not stock. You’ll have to pull the trims off and see where it goes. Could just be an extension cable that the previous owner had a Bluetooth OBD reader plugged in to so they could get stats on their phone.

Or a piggyback controller? JB4 uses a similar deal, but on my Audi, its only 2 wires off that plug.

I found that exact same plug on a 440i I test drove. I thought it was just a cover but guess not.

Thanks guys! It make sense if it's a jb4 tuner, did some research by google looks like not much harm to the car.
I may run some test drives with&without it see what are the differences. simply unplugging it would do the trick right?
