Door squeaking

So my F30 LCI went in for the squeaky door trim, was given some "BMW Silicone remover concentrate" fixes it for a couple of days and then its back with vengeance. has anyone else received different? I'm feeling like I've just been fobbed off

There are dozens of threads on this subject. Just search for creaking door seals or similar.

It seems seals get replaced ... with the same seals...then the only fix is via tape!

teaston posted on previous threads about using Gummi Pfledge to treat the seals.

I tried this and it seems to have worked on mine albeit it does need re-applying every so often.

Worked fine for me when I had my F31. I did about 70,000 miles in the car after the tape was applied and it was quiet as a mouse (after driving me to near insanity).

Quiet as a mouse. The irony

Hi, same for mine, squeaky/creaky doors, went to my local dealer, he applied very expensive @ £80 pm tape to all doors. Now squeak free, although he did comment that the centre HK speaker needed to be replaced. Gotta love a warranty.

I've had to reapply this several times to remain even remotely sane. Seems to get worse with cold weather when I presume the rubber becomes less flexible. Going up onto a kerb when parking is when it's the worst - sounds like an old galleon running aground.

Annoyingly, if I drop the driver's window even by a mm or two the creaking on that side stops.

Driving me mad at the moment, so need to get it into the dealer for a tape/renew seals job. Anyone had this done at Harry Fairbairn in Giffnock?

I have mentioned several times in the past that I have cured my last 2 cars now - simply by applying some lubricant to the felt strip across the top of each door.

Before that I tried the entire seals and it seems (to me) that the felt is the main culprit.

For the sake of 10 minutes work and some grease or oil, just try it and see if it works.

Mine started squeaking while on holiday, all I had was some plumbers silicon lubricant (no, I had been doing some plumbing for a mate), so I blathered the felt bit of the seals then wiped the excess off later.
That was the beginning of last month and they're still silent.....

What worries me more is that the car is so damn flexible as to cause this issue in the first place

If tape fix hasn’t worked is not been done right. I’ve done 30k since mine was taped; silent bliss.
