Ceramic brake grease is what you use as it doesn't cause a reaction with alloy. as per Watsey's post #7

Spot on. If you have to run spacers, then a thin coating or Ceratec on the hub should mean that they come off easily when required.

Take our M14 wheel bolt, it sits in a 16mm hole. We'd be side loading, even bending the bolt, if we didn't have the friction due to the clamping forces. No way (it's not engineering practice) to have the bolts set up to be side loaded.

Friction is the means to transfer rotational torque. Even the hub spigot is not the primary load carrier, it is there to assist precision positioning.
100% correct.

There are more suitable grease/anti-seize products. There are 'Alu' based compounds. BMW list their 'brake block paste' as suitable for wheel centres.

When I first removed my wheels, on the current car which had been through BMW's own workshop at Thorne, they had used brake grease (or similar) on the hub spigots.

Never put anything on my spacers or adapters in the past and other than a wiggle with a screwdriver I've never had issues removing them.

A lot depends on the atmosphere we live and drive in. I know up here we have an issue with wheels being stuck to hubs, if there isn't a bit of preventative attention. Or they are not removed for a long period.
