I'm getting a F34 for our family of 5!
Hi guys
We currently own a beautiful e91 325i with every option I wanted, and was totally fine with our family of 4. We have a 9 year old girl and a soon to be 3 year old boy. But then along came a baby girl this christmas, and the backseat space suddenly became very tight. Been looking around a bit, on other brands even but I came to my senses Looked at a 2 series active tourer, the width of the backseat was fine with one rearfacing babychair and one forwardfacing todlerchair. In the middle the 9 year old. But my gf had not much space in the passengerseat in the front, so no go. Even looked at a 2-series GT But the guy at the dealership put me in a 3series GT and I was sold! 4 cm wider middle seat (between the middle isofix points) in the back and loads of legroom! Have any of you tried three kids in the back? Would appreciate your experiences with the F34 as a familycar regardless of two or three kids

Hi got two teenagers both impressed with the space. Have taken nephew in the car with his car seat and iso fix base still ample room for 3 children although middle seat can be a little cramped due to transmission tunnel. But the kids aren't bothered by it at all.
I came from. Qashqai which had a lot less space in the back compared to the Gt. Your family will love it and the boot space is fantastic. A wise purchase |

Once the soon 3 year old gets in his next chair, the Bmw Junior 2/3 he can sit in the middle and we've got plenty of space for a adult next to him. The transmission tunnel wont be a bother for him since he wont reach it with his small feet. It seems like the current 5 series and every other Bmw isnt as child friendly as the 3series GT (in the backseat). If we disregard 7 series and X5. The 5 series and 7 series is more build for comfort for two adults in the backseat. |

I agree when looking for my first BMW was originally looking at the X1 and the 4series gran coupe but neither matched the 3 gt for practicality. Family holidays alwaysvfilled the qashqai the 3gt looks as though it will take at least one extra case. As for the 5 and 7 series they are a 4.5 seater the middle seat would never really accommodate another person as comfortably as the 3gt.

Regularly carried three 8-year olds in the GT without complaint. They're not so happy in the Touring, but they're coming up to 10 now and growing like weeds as well!!

We have recently bought a 3gt and have 3 kids (aged 13, 12 & 10). Previously drove an Eclass Mercedes but the kids say the 3gt is far more spacious and comfortable in the back.

The E91 is getting really tight in the backseat with three kids. Hope I've found a nice F34 in a few months.

Just got a 320d GT Sport - we have 3 kids, two in boosters, one in a proper child seat with 5-point harness and so far it's been great. I came from a 2012 (European) Honda Civic hatch and that was super in the back as the back seat was a bench with no side bolsters so easy to fit car seats etc, but the leg room was not great. The GT has acres of space in a back and I can fit all 3 kids in the back, albeit with as little bit of organisation in order to access the seat belts when the booster seats are in place. The boot is great, much like the Octavia RS I used to have a few years back, but not quite as big, but still much better than the Civic.
I cannot understand why BMW didn't do a hatch before in the 3 series. Some may not like the looks, but I love it. It really is a family moving machine. |

Hi folks,
I just picked up a '14 328i GT -- but it was missing two covers for the ISOFIX car seat points. I don't plan to put a car seat in it and was wondering if one of you who do, would be interested in selling two covers to me? If so, please PM me at your convenience. Thanks, Jess |

The fact that the legroom is enormous makes everything easier. the 9 year old can easily pass the 3 year old while he's sitting in his seat. Although the trunk is big its not that high. Thats the only negative thing I've experienced With this car! Very satisfied with it.

I have a 3 GT and im having another child due in November. So at that time I will have a 5 year old girl, a 3 year old boy, and a new born. I wonder what the best setup would be to maximize comfort. Any suggestions, as the 3 year old will be in a regular Britex convertible fwd facing, my 5 y/o will be in a booster, and the new born in a removable carrier type car seat with a base.
I wonder what brands of seats will over MAXimum comfort for my 3 little ones. |

Three in the back
I stopped at 4.
We have the Peg for the infant. I have heard good things about the Diono Radian seats. https://blogs.babycenter.com/product...most-vehicles/ https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/b...d-for-2017.pdf |

I have 2 Diono radian seats for my 2 year old and 1 year old. I have put them side by side, i.e. one in the middle rear facing. So there is still space for an adult on other end. This set up works great for me.

The 9-year old in the middle, baby on the right with a rearfacing chair and the 3-year old in a forwardfacing seat. Works fine for the 9-year old to get in the middle seat, even With the 3-year old in his chair. Cant recommend any brands, cause we have a different market in Europe.

Hi everyone
Keen to buy our first GT but how is the GT for getting the kids in / out of their booster seats? Do you think the seats sit high enough not to break your back? I'm about 6.1 so if it's anything like the normal 3 series that would be certainly a pain the ... back. We're both actually pretty tall. I love the GT looks and pretty much everything about it. The height is my only worry and thus I'm in between the GT or a Rav4. Also, how's the trunk for buggies + luggage etc. Thanks all!! |

trunk is great too. Seating height snd trunk and reliability and comfort would of course be better in a rav4 But the powertrain is better in the gt. I've had a rav4 and gt in the past. The rav was very underpowered but otherwise excellent. |
