And even though the OP is 3 years old, the OP said he signed and put down a NONREFUNDABLE $1000.

He then had a binding contract for the car at the agreed upon price.

How did he cancel the car and get the NONREFUNDABLE $1000 back? Sounds like he lost the NONREFUNDABLE $1000 because the Dealer tried to add $800 to the price?

I certainly do not condone the way they did business - but sounds like OP lost $1000 instead of other ways to force the Dealer to honor the binding contract....and then never buying anything else from them again, whether it be cars or service.

Same official BMW EW. BMW of Mount Laurel was cavalier and would t negotiate even though I told them I knew the price was negotiable.

I think the OP probably did lose his deposit.

So the car was $800 cheaper at another Dealer, but he lost his $1000 non refundable deposit in the process.
