255 runflat on a 9.5inch rim possible??

Went in to tyre shop today hoping to get my stock runflat pzeros fitted from 403M 19x8 19x8.5 to my new GTC 19x8.5 19x9.5 wheels.

The shop said its 100% impossible to stretch the 255/35/19 runflat rears onto a 9.5 rim. Due to sidewall stiffness.

Is this legit??

Based on info on tirerack, P zero run flat 255/35/19 should fit on a 19x9.5 wheel.

There is little to no stretch with a 255 on a 9.5 wheel. I run this as a square setup and my fronts are run flats. You need to get a new tire shop...

I call it BS. I have 255/35R19 RFT in my 19" X 9.5"

Heck I even have my winter square tires on my OEM staggered so I has a 225 in a 8.5" those were hard but doable. they're just being lazy

As a reference 255mm is ~10" so yeah they should fit

Interesting -you're running run-flats on the front and traditional tires on the rear? Different sidewall stiffness, braking coefficient and traction compounds front to rear. How does that handle??
