REM ecu swap with different HWAP

Hi guys,

I have to replace REM due a reverse light malfunction not cadable on my F31, so I bought a used REM with different PN, here below the differences

Installed:

PN 61.35-9392700-01
HWAP 000000F4C
HWEL 003.000.002
BTLD 003.029.030
SWFL 003.029.030

Used

PN 61.35-9392702-01
HWAP 000000F4B
HWEL 003.000.002
BTLD 003.029.030
SWFL 003.029.030

After install it i get 5 error in REM , one of this is 0080482E wrong hardware version.

I save a backup configuration from old REM and then write it on the used Rem with BMAicoder but no result.

Is it possible to change or coding HW configuration?

If it's so, what i need to do?

Thanks!!!!!

First it has to be coded to your car.
And then we will see what happens.

For that you need E-Sys.
Then mark the REM and on the right side „detect caf for swe“.
Choose the newest CAFD (highest Numbers) and OK.
After that push the button „Code“.
That‘s all.

Many thanks!

Is it possible only by E-Sys?
I'm trying to get it.

I get E-Sys 3.27 running on WIN10 but it has pin activation and i didn't find SWE option.
ISTA+ 4.10 (then 4.14 and 4.09) on WIN10 but it always get error The programming system could not be initializated. The ISTA installation may be damaged or incorrectly configured.

I tried ISTA+ 4.12 on a virtual machine which running Win 7 but after test it report error : not enough system resources are available. Restart ista and computer.

I cannot reinstall ISTA because it's a virtual disk downloaded, i don't have installation file or anything else about this.

I think its easier sell the car and buy a FIAT💔

Does anybody could indicated a esys or ista version running by WIN10 tested on F31?

whoever will help me I will propose him as a saint right away😁

The pin activation is from the Launcher, right?
But for coding (not FDL coding) you don‘t need the launcher.
So start E-Sys directly from its own folder (EC-Apps).
Then you can start to code the REM.

Mark the REM, not the CAFD and then "detect caf for swe".

Choose the CAFD with the highest numbers (at the bottom) and then OK.
After that mark the REM and push the button „Code“.

Now I just found out that you wrote both part numbers wrong.
Instead of 61359392700 and 61359392702 you mean 61359329700 and 61359329702.
So i finally found some information.

I found the difference between them.
The 61359329702 is missing the 8 pins for the PDC behind.
The 61359329700 has these 8 Pins.
And because you car has the PDC you will get this error.

Many thanks! How did you get this information?
Anyway this means I can't configure used REM...

If i solder missing pins do you think i get error anyway?

Here you see the differences between the 2 REM.
I was searching on Ebay for a REM and found pictures for both part numbers.
And i know the differences of the REM with PDC and without PDC.

There is nothing you can solder.

To solve your problem you now need another right REM or you renounce your PDC and code it out.

I replaced IC which manage and control the light output with no result....

I think the problem is about the processor.

Does any chanche to reprogramming or update SW of the ECU?

Check with your VIN number on realoem site and you will know which REM will be compatible with your car.

Thanks for idea, but it strange the existing REM part number I cannot find on that page, like 61359329702...

From comment #16, on first picture REM 61359317175 cannot be found on that page/database, but from second picture REM 61359329700 is available...

Any other idea?
