Instrument cluster issue

Hello everyone,

My instrument cluster has a substance on the inside of the lens. I believe it's from a cleaning substance that got in through the reset button on the bottom left. I didn't do it but I noticed it the last time the dealership cleaned my car.

I removed the cluster but it doesn't look like there is a way to separate the cluster itself from the lens at all?

Is my only option a new cluster and reprogram?

2017 330.

Thank you!

My car had the same issue when I bought it. I'm guessing an air duster was used. If I recall, there are 4 torx on the back of the instrument cluster as well as some tabs. Once you remove the screws and lift the tabs, the front cover can be removed for cleaning.

Thank you so much. I am going to give it a go. So there is no harm in unplugging the cluster as long as I disconnect the battery?

I didn't bother to unplug the battery when I did it, and had no issues. I probably should have to be safe though.
