Did you have to modify (cut plastic etc.) to install the strut bar on the f36 B58? Did you remove the factory strut brace or leave it on while installing the new strut bar?
How’s your experience with it to this day?

It isn’t quite night and day in terms of a better drive, but you do feel it being just a little more rigid for the turn in if you’re properly hammering it around.
My previous exp with a strut brace was on my Celica, and putting it on instantly made it feel stiffer- (more harsh of a ride generally, but better on track), but that’s probably because that chassis wasn’t all that rigid to begin with and I reduced the little comfort it might have had.
Sorry to pop this thread back open, but I was just wondering what intake setup that is, cheers.

MST with the optional clear cover.

I got this one instead (knockoff probably made in the same factory) for 1/2 the price:

I've got the silver $267 one on my 2016 340i. Highly recommend. Super easy too.

If you want to go all out, get the F80 carbon strut brace. It looks awesome especially in an F30/F32. I've seen a couple people do it but I'm sure it's not cheap. Pictures in the thread below.

Otherwise I'd say get a regular carbon strut brace.

MST Intake- and as the fella before said it is the clear airbox cover which MST sells, but instead I just made my own.
Just a bit of perspex and cut and heat+ bend it into shape. Couldn't warrant paying £65 for it, considering it is just a peice of plastic.

A word of warning though- It is really meant for a show car sort of thing and general road driving- as if you're on track and that engine bay is super hot, thermoplastics will warp.

And to answer a question from a few months back- it doesn't get all that dusty in the UK, so i don't clean it often, but yes it will scratch even with a microfibre. but seeing as it is plastic, a little bit of plastic polish will fix that right up.

How are you liking the filter, Th3Walrus? Did you keep the original kyrostar filter or change it out for something else? Still have the kyrostar filter on mine and was thinking about changing it out since I need to clean it anyways.

Can anyone advise me if there is an aftermarket REAR V brace also?

I found this on ECS tuning. I already have a FRONT strut brace and recommend it (2014 335Xi MT, Dinan stage 1) heartily. Low price. Good results. but I can't find anyone who has put on a REAR strut brace or the so called V Brace. Help. Info?

Rear strut brace won't change much, you're better off doing sway bar upgrade IMO...

My f31 comes with that v-brace from the factory and I can't say that it seems to do much. It's not very substantial and I can't imagine it will get you where you want to go.

I agree with im_an_alien - I just put an f22 rear sway bar on mine (15mm rather than 13mm stock f31 bar) and that made a very noticable difference.
