Thank you!
I run 245/35-19 Michelin PSAS. I tried the 255s when I had 18” ARC8s but I experienced some rubs so I dropped down to these and haven’t had a problem since. Having had both I have also decided I like the look of these more than I did the 255s. |

Wanted go with 255/40/18 all season run flats or non RFany tire brand or model recommendation's to avoid the rub? or 245/40/18 is only option without rub? Has M-sport stocks suspension and M-perf brakes. Thank for feedback.

Pic 1 and 2 1 = 255/40 2 = 245/40 Pic 3 and 4 1 = 255/40 2 =245/40 On the front, inner clerance is very tight on full lock but zero scrubbing even on bumpy b roads at pace. Would have no problems on the back but on sq Setup you'd have more front poke I think so if were me I'd vary the tyre sizes or run 3-5mm spacer. Last edited by OMG73; 02-10-2024 at 04:51 AM.. |

Only issue you will have with sq setup is that front wheels will poke slightly more than rear. So for that reason I would consider 245 front, 255 rear, unless you can't due to x drive. My setup is 9.5 et35 rear with 265/40. I love meaty tyre look. |

Oem xdrive suspension and alignment. The 255/40 are beefy for sure. But maintains the oem 26” tall tire were as the 245/40 measures 25.7” on an 8.5” wheel. Gunna go ahead and assume a 245/40 on a 9” would measure 25.6 due to stretch. The rear is a perfect fit IMO. The front sidewall do stick outside the fenders by ~.25”. Zero rubbing. Received a set of APEX Arc-8s Anthracite 18x9 ET30 square straight from Apex a few days ago.
255/40/18 DWS 06+ fit perfectly, but I already knew that from my old N55. Lowered on Eibach 05-22 springs (car is on a slope). It was pouring torrential rain out so couldn't get better pics unfortunately. Also didn't know APEX updated their center caps. Expert@ApexWheels

Yes, our cap design has shifted along with a larger change for our branding in general. The ARC-8s are some of our first wheels to go out with the new cap design that you have. We're in a transition phase so not all wheels shipping out have the new cap design. We are making sure that mixed sets are not being shipped though. Closeup images are available here: -Tom

It was between the ARCs and the EC-7Rs, but this is my dd and I'd want to make it look good, but keep it subtle and low-key. IMO the EC's are attention grabbing and belong on a more specialty car, like the M4. The ARC's are perfect for daily driving. Your post really helped me to decide as I could see 100% what the finished product will look like. Thanks for sharing. |
