My passenger mirror motor mount is broken so the entire assembly needs to be replaced as you cannot just buy the actual housing. The exact mirror with the features I need is back ordered with no ETA & the only one available in the world is in Latvia; shipping would take me well into January.

So the question is can buy a mirror and extract just the actual mount or would swapping the wiring be difficult? if that doesn't work, would buying one with surround view (which I don't have) still work or would not having that module not complete the circuit and thus the mirror wouldn't work?

If I could use one that has surround view, I could probably even buy the trim piece to delete the camera so it looks OEM.

thoughts or any other options?

Does anyone have a contact in Germany to maybe get better information on this part? It has been 2 months with the part still back ordered and no ETA. I am unsure on what to do. There is an ebay seller in Latvia that claims to have 2 of these, but the shipping time is long and I am unsure if they are legitimate. Has anyone ever ordered parts from the Latvia sellers on ebay? There seems to be a bunch of them.

Not many, and since it's no longer in production they're not likely to be making more parts for them. You'd probably have more luck finding one in a spare parts bin in the Greer S.C plant than to get one from Germany.

The seller has good ratings & over 35k sales. I will probably pull the trigger tomorrow. I asked for pictures of the box but am not expecting any.

I am tired of waiting and driving without a passenger mirror.
