Thumbs up Tire Question

Hey all,

I am about due for some new tires this fall. The OEM tires on the back aren't providing the best grip in the rain and losing traction on dry pavement when I punch it a little bit.

I have the OEM 19inch 704M wheels on my car:

F: 225/40/19
R: 255/35/19

Is it possible to increase the size of the tires without any issues? I am not lowered at all.

I was thinking either a 235/40 or a 245/40 front and a 265/35 or 275/35 in the rear. I am thinking about getting Conti DWS06 Plus since I need all seasons.

I don't want the side wall to look funny for it being too tall or too little.

Any help is much appreciated! Thank you!

Firstly, are you rwd or xdrive? I'm xdrive and I have the 20 inch 624's with the same widths (8 front 8.5 rears). with that being said I run a square setup just so I don't have to worry about the 1% tolerance factor

If you're rwd, the 245/275 is beefy, adds some great grip with the right compound and looks awesome, however, I do not think the 275's will fit a 8.5 inch rim. I know it's been done before but I don't think many shops will let you.

At that rate the 235/265 combo always does well for people and is usually significantly cheaper as the former has quite a premium

Secondly, I have the dws 06 non plus, and they've been amazing. Coming from the pirelli cinturato p7 17's, it made my car feel much more alive. The electric steering is still a bummer but I much more satisfied with feel and responsiveness

Additionally, I still have my old set, and am actually going to be switching back for the winter even though they're both a/s tires, simply for longevity reasons. I have them, might as well use them lol

255 is max on 8.5

But some tire place do 265....I don't know how they fit them. Could be a tire brand specific for a 265 to fit on 8.5

Don't take my word for it, but I know that people put the F8X 437M wheels on F30s which I believe are 245s and 275s in the rear and I haven't heard of issues with that setup so you might be good
