Flares look great. Did you cut and weld the arches? If so, have any pics ?

I would run some camber and make those fit, it doesn't look like you would need much

What were your settings on the damping?

How do you adjust damping in the rear shocks without removing them?

I just installed KW V2 on my 2017 340i. I put all 4 damps on setting 11 or 11 clicks. I’m still trying to adjust tide height and need to drive the car a bit to get everything to settle, then alignment.

Hi Guys

I have a dilemma and if any wheel experts live here, maybe you'd be up for a challenge. I think I need someone who totally understands wheels offsets and specifically 3 piece configurations.

My current wheels, which are Work VSXX in the following configuration:

Front
8.5J x 20 ET32 A Disk (OEM brake clearance)
59mm or 2.5" Lip

Rear
10J x 20 ET 38 (the wheels are ET48 but using 10mm spacers to make it ET38) O Disk (Deep Rim)
72mm or 3" Lip

The Problem with the rears is that with ET48 and O Disk the caliper was fouling the backside of the wheel, so I had to space it.

I'm running -2.4 Camber on the rear and front is OEM.

My Dilemma (someone please help me!):

I don't feel that the wheel has enough lip so wanted to go for 72mm/3" Lip front and 84mm/3.5" Lip rear (pictures of my current setup are attached with the narrower Lips).

The wheels are also being replaced under warranty due to large paint issues (flaking and bubbling), which is allowing me to change the width, offset and colour, to get them right.

So with that all in mind I want to widen/reconfigure the wheels to the following:

Work will only make the wheels in certain configurations:

Front
9J x 20 ET26 A Disk (72mm Lip) - which will mean more poke by 12.4mm

Rear
10.5J ET 36 A Disk (84mm Lip) - which will mean more poke by 12.4mm

I'm concerned that these won't fit, and will stick out of the arch too much,
can someone, anyone shed any light on this at all? I don't like running spacers if I can help it but I don't see any way of getting the fitment right as these are 3 piece, the faces of the wheels won't move that much, its the barrels and lips that do (widen) if I'm understanding this correctly.

There are two other options here...

1. Stick with my current setup and same offsets (don't like them as they are)
2. Use the chart above to obtain higher offsets and adjust the wheels with small spacers.

HELP! I'm totally at my wits end!

I’m running 19x9 with +30 OS and 19x10 with +42 OS. I’m still trying to dial in suspension but so far everything clear well. Tires are 245/35/19 and 285/30/19.

I think you are considering too little of OS. It is easier to push the wheel out then it is in. I know a spacer is not ideal but id play it a bit more safe then so aggressive. Unless you are running a pretty small tire and a bunch of camber?

There is only so much room you can realistically go before things are out of range.

Example: a friend of mine ordered 18x12 wheels with 5” of lip for his 69 camaro. The OS was so bad that he has to narrow the rear 1.5” more than he thought and relocate his new suspension so much that the geometry of handling was greatly affected. Car was built for auto cross but changing that much in the suspension made it pointless. He now has 2 $1100 garage fixtures. Lol!

Someone else will have to chime in to answer that question. I had a shop set mine up.

Im not opposed to spacers but one reason you probably dont think the lips are big enough is because everything is black and just blends together, if you ran literally any other color (polished would look great) then you would get way more depth and create the illusion of a deeper lip. Just my .02

the bolts holding the shock need to come out and the bolt that holds the c arm , you can drop it and adjust the springs/dampening that way. Yes it's the only way kinda annoying but it is what it is

That’s a bunch of work I wish I had known prior. Just going to take more time to dial in I guess. Currently I have all 4 struts set at 11. I still need to adjust height and see how that feels. Then off to the alignment shop.

Ok, so I found that all I needed to do after all was unbolt the strut from the top and then I can press the strut down to make adjustments to the damper. I set everything to 12 clicks and it rides great. Just need to take the car to the alignment.

What is the biggest tire that would fit a 18x10 et 25 on a f30? with no rubbing. Would a 285/35-18 fit?.

Well after going through this thread at least 3 full times I’ve finally got my set up about 90% done besides alignment. I want to give a big shoutout to everyone I messaged on here and Instagram that helped me out, this community is awesome.

Here is a quick teaser before I get more pics from the wrap shop, this is the last time it will look like this
