Yep, been there, people carriers, 4x4s (not SUVs) anything that was dull as dishwater but looked good, thanks dear...... probably my own fault for getting a Volvo 850 approved and then sneaking from the 2.5 10v we test drove to a T5....

Now I have no one saving me from myself!

Me too, white and black were on my list of no go "colours" but when I added grey as well it got a bit hard. I really wanted a navarro blue Audi but when I saw it with the black / carbon bits, I ruled that out too, so was left with black, bright red, green, or white.... I wanted to fly under the radar so that ruled out red and green, so white it was....

And I love it!

At £149, I have a feeling that IAM membership might be less costly way of getting the discount

That's true - I have to behave myself for about an hour to avoid getting nagged...

Yeah I remember they used to sit on a bridge on the M74 section as it twists and flows just at the point you'd want to put your foot down, going back 20 odd years though

Nice motor sand you'll have less fuel stops than me.

Talking of which, the £99 limit for pay at pump is bloody annoying!! Never used to go near it with my previous F30s but now in the G05 40i, if I leave it too late, I end up either doing a partial refuel or filling twice at the same pump to get to a full tank.

Thanks mate. My first experience of hitting the £99 limit was with the previous gen X5, but then the cost of fuel came down slightly and it was fine. With prices at the pump slowly creeping up again it is a bit of a pain. Could be worse, could be sitting for 45mins plugged in

Any tips on getting the best out of the B&W btw? I've landed on "Studio" sound profile with a couple of notches on the bass. Signed up to Apple Music as well for lossless quality, but do I need to be wired in to get the best out of that?

Very nice OP, enjoy!

And notwithstanding the current anti-diesel sentiment I think that's probably the engine best suited to the car as well; torque matters in a vehicle like that and the 40d will provide plenty of it and in the right places!

I only really use Studio for spoken word stuff ie podcasts but music tends to be on Concert or Stage.

B&W seems to be bass-light compared to my F30 HK but it's much better in other areas.

Not sure re Lossless - I doubt I will tell the difference tbh!

Not sure what source you use, but it's probably worth trialling lossless or similar. The difference between Spotify/Deezer/standard Apple Music and Spotify Premium/Deezer HiFi is huge on the Meridian Surround - as is Bluetooth vs. wired CarPlay. I'm sure that the B&W would expose the difference similarly.
