**Confirmed!! Enhanced Bluetooth w/ BIMMERCODE
Hey guys I recently used Bimmercode to code Enhanced Bluetooth (music on phone to car).
HUGE thanks to Danny Montes for guiding me though this. Yes it is possible to use Bimmercode to code EBT.....IF you have the combox. You need to have a comibox in the truck to do this (see attached pic to verify) It is SUPER easy. You will need to go into Expert Mode in two menus. In HEADUNIT Menu...go into Expert mode then 3003_Telefon_Telematik_Online Turn these to "Aktiv" :
In COMIBOX Menu....go into Expert mode then 3004_Bluetooth_Parameter and turn this to "Aktiv" :
Its that simple. Hope this helps! Again Thanks again to Danny Montes!!! All credit goes to him! -San

Can anyone help me in this, I have a COMBOX in the boot and when using BimmerCode comes up CIC. I used the settings listed above and it now appears in the media menu but my phone will no longer connect. Both the audio Bluetooth menu and phone menu state please wait. I deleted the car from Bluetooth to see if it would reconfigure and it won’t connect, I also deleted my user profile to see if the car would forget my phone but that hasn’t made any difference. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try connecting in External Device.
Its a little ackward that the connection is not under Bluetooth...but rather in the external device menu. Quote:

No I only went into telephone and Bluetooth audio with both stating please wait, Stephan from bimmercode sent me a code to check which is correct but still states please wait -just to update it makes no difference going into external devices. youngjr seemed to have had the same problem - http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1478925

Just to update it’s now working thanks for the replies, for anyone else having this issue one of the settings from the top of the page was left in. When I reverted to back up and set the settings provided by BimmerCode which as the same as the link as above it worked fine. I’m using and iCar 2 WiFi and had numerous issues with it losing connection and timing out, had to check what was set right as default and quickly change ones required.

BCode doesn't work that deep in the ECUs. Use the settings in the original post.

All Mobile Office features seem to work (as does the voice command button on the steering wheel, others have reported that it becomes disabled), although, since I use K9 email for android, looks like I may have to also use the default email app for my emails to populate. Hopefully I find a "fix" or settings change to avoid having another email app...and data on my phone. |

Now that I have BT Audio working. Is there a way to play music via the USB cable? I can see it as an option in the idrive, but its grayed out.

a2dp enabled ! Hooray
Hi guys
I've been reading this website for a while now and just wanted to say thanks for your posts, i've just successfully enabled my bluetooth audio and also realised I have an extra 12v power supply (cigarette lighter socket) under my passenger side glove box! One additional comment to other peoples bluetooth experiences.. After using vgate and Bimmercode to tweak everything in expert mode, I deleted the pairing, repaired and it still didn't show bluetooth audio.. I accidentally stumbled upon another menu in the main idrive area for 'connectivity' which now had a 'bluetooth' checkbox for audio... that wasn't there previously. Once that was ticked, I returned to my bluetooth pairing on the idrive for my handset and the tickbox had appeared for 'audio' under the phones services (where calls was previously the only option). it wasn't ticked, as soon as I ticked it, i was able to stream spotify etc from my handset and control tracks via the steering wheel. I had quite quiet audio on bluetooth until I tweaked the amp settings as they were all nuetral for bluetooth, whilst FM/ DVD / aux in had been customised before. Hope that maybe helps someone else who nearly gave up with bluetooth. After that tweak, i went on the tailor the following annoyances out of my vehicle. 1) The car no longer unlocks the drivers door when you turn off the ignition. 2) Door handle lights now activate whilst reversing. 3) 'stop / start' no longer defaults to 'on' 4) lowered the PDC cut out speed (36kmh was too fast) 5) increased the headlight washer operation frequency 6) enabled digital speedo 7) changed the idrive startup animation to m 8) changed the standard warning bong 9) DVD in motion 10) USB video + extra codecs I loved my car anyway, but now I am even happier as the silly things that (overly) bugged me are gone and I have new toys to play with. Anyone recommend anything else cool to enable? thanks and happy driving always ! |
