Order timing for ED (good weather)

Last go around I ordered my '15 GC at the end of Oct 2014. It was delivered to the Performance Center late December. I picked it up in Jan.

This time I want to to European delivery... my lease actually was a 39 month lease so I guess I have some flexibility in time but didn't know what the timelines look like these days and then who knows about weather in Germany/Northern Europe.

What would you guys do? (When would you order and when would you try and schedule Euro Delivery?)

I am looking at either another F36 or possibly the X2. Really going to depend on deals on the F36, my current price is killer but includes $1K UDE & 7 MSD's... neither of which are around anymore.

I like to go in late spring before the summer heat and start of tourist season. Fall is also good. So let's say late May or early June. Or say October. Crowds are down but weather is nice to be outside.

+1. September is very good as well. Keep in mind that the winter tires laws have been changed and they are now required in many countries (including Germany) beginning October 15.

I definitely agree about time of year, but would you try and delay ordering until Spring and try and get BMW to extend my lease?
Otherwise I assume I need to take delivery in Jan/Feb to coincide with my lease end on 25-MAR-2018

+! Agree completely ... but if you pick October beware of O'fest. If you want to go great ... but if you aren't interested hotel rates are very high and the city is a zoo.

I just got back from my ED, was there the last 2 weeks of July. FWIW, it rained on/off every single day with the exception of the first, and crowds were a completely non-issue.

I'm not a 100% certain but isn't the X series built in South Carolina? Other than that early June is a good time for weather in Northern Europe. Don't go in August, everyone and their mother is on vacation in August in Europe it seems.
