I have a new 2018 330i with the same issues both with being unable to get the BMW remote app working, and also being unable to send destinations from google maps. Would dearly love to get both working asap.

Took delivery of my 2018 430i xdrive cab in March. Connecteddrive worked, then didn't, then did, then didn't, and now doesn't. I too get the "No vehicle available" bs message when I try to log in to the remote app. BMW keeps drawing the "fix" line and then re-draws in. Canadian 33 on this post said it would be fixed before the end of April. Must have meant next year's April? Does anyone know if there is a class action lawsuit in the works on this?

My first new car purchase ( 2018 X3) in ages, I was so excited about this car and all the technology. I have been told the same things about this app not working, yes a fix is coming... someday.. who knows when. Very disappointing and frustrating. Then I was allowed to drive off the lot last month with full knowledge of the rear spoiler recall by the dealer, who neglected to tell me about it. I only found out when I couldn’t get the vehicle transferred to me as bmw Canada refuses to update their paper work until I get the recall fixed. Then to be told I have to wait three weeks at my local dealerships for an appt to actually fix the spoiler. Omg... what a fiasco this has been. I love the car but am very frustrated with bmw Canada, the dealership and the lack of support for Canada with respect to the apps etc. Also my nav maps are stuck at 2017-4 and I also hear OTA map updates never seem to happen properly either ...

What did I say about BMW re-drawing the "fix" date? Here is the latest from BMW ConnectedDrive Canada:
----------------- BMW AG has deployed a fix for this issue and vehicle profiles in the backend are being updated to reflect this fix. We are expecting all affected vehicles to receive the fix by May 15th. We will send out another bulletin once the update has been completed. Regards, ConnectedDrive Canada --------------------------- So the yardsticks continue to move down the field on this issue. Have to wonder who if anyone is actually working on a fix. It's not like they are sending the Shuttle to work on a satellite in orbit. I had a good salesperson on my purchase but the fact that he and all of the BMW salespeople are keeping important defective product information from prospective purchasers is extremely disappointing. |

I have a 2016 328, send to car using remote app stopped working a few weeks ago. Send to car from Google maps stopped working a long time ago.
I spoke to the bmw genius at the dealership where I bought my car and he said BMW is aware of the problem but has no idea when it will be fixed. |

I have decided to contact a law firm that specializes in class action lawsuits against automakers for defective products. I will report back on this post with my findings. I have zero confidence that a fix will be in place by May 15 as "promised". The history of this issue is simply ConnectedDrive Canada stringing its customers along with bs dates for the fix to be in place. It's clear that they won't spend the money on a proper fix until and unless they have to spend money on lawyers defending a lawsuit.

To my great surprise, my remote app is suddenly working. Anybody else up and running? Hopefully this time the fix is permanent as opposed to intermittent. Time will tell. Thank you BMW ConnectedDrive, for now and hopefully forever.

Not as far as I know. I use all lower case. But you should refer to the connectedDrive form you would have received when you purchased your vehicle from the dealership. Your username and password would/should be there.
For the information of the other posters, my remote connectedDrive app is still working (more than 24 consecutive hours) which is a record. I don't want to be skeptical but given the on and off again history of this service I expect it to go down again at some point. I am saddened but not surprised to hear that the app is still not working for everyone. |

Working features: Horn Lights Lock doors Unlock doors (have to call bmw) Cabin ventilation differed time Not working: Map send to car (sent in app but not received in car) Google send to car
