I made a YouTube video on how to mod your exhaust valves to always be open and be open straight from startups, makes your startups a little louder, especially cold starts. Check out the vid and show some love to the YouTube channel ❤️

Nice vid...great sound. I think if BMW tech saw it though they would just re-connect.

There is a part that can be ordered from BMW that comes with the MPE, that you can then plug into, that way there is no open plug and a BMW tech would see it was done intentionally.
Part number: 18302411427 Its about £20 i believe. I haven't dared use it on the MPPSK yet haha.

Just put a piece of electrical tape on the male connector and insert it back into the plug (you won't be able to click/lock it in place anymore) followed by another strip around the connectors to keep them from slipping off. This way everything stays sealed and away from the elements.

Just zip tie the wire onto the bumper support or some underpinning. Tell them to leave it alone

This is a hack from 10+ years ago known as the golf tee mod. Lots of folks have been doing this since Exx days with N54 engines.

If you do decide to simply unplug the valve make sure you make the connector absolutely water tight. I've seen lots of corrosion problems in the harness after this has been done.
CG Precision sells basically a piggy back wireless controller for the valve and it works great, also the remote can be programmed to the home link buttons to open and close the valve |

What I do is unplug the 2x 5amps fuses #146 & 147 in the trunk and it’s been 6 months and no problem at all. No lights and the valve plug can stay plugged on the bottom.
