it is not. it was just used as an example.

I can't get anywhere near those numbers and I still have a stock turbo or I'll start spinning the tires before I even launch.

Good to know!

You have spin with xdrive?

Youre using launch control?

Interesting.

I thought LC was supposed to build boost and prevent spin until you take your foot off the brake?

I've got mine at 10 and 10. Seems to work well. I haven't experimented beyond that yet.

Its a little hard to do a straight back to back comparison because after you do a launch, the dme has a cool down period before it will let you launch again. Not sure exactly how long it is.
I spoke to one of the representatives that work for xhp they said torque scale at 25% is fine & launch torque can go as high as 30-35%. I'm curious to see how it'd perform that high. I tried 25/25 & there's quite a bit of wheel spin in the front maybe due to the rain we just had.

Has anyone had any issues with the transmission slipping or anything like that after XHP flash? That's my only worry since this is my daily driver.

it does but when you change those settings it allows.for.more boost to be built etc.. eventually the power will over power the brakes and tires.

I would be very careful with awd.. rwd is less of an issue.

Did you try launching with DSC completely off? In sport+ I was spinning with power cutting once I completely turned off DSC it hooked right off the line. I did keep the settings at 25/25 to play it safe.

When DSC is completely off the transmission shifts in its most aggressive setting, especially stage 3 flashed.

I went ahead and bought the XHP flash. Mannn this thing is amazing!!! Shifts sooo fast but it's smoother than factory. No hard kicks between shifts. Throttle response is way better in D or S since it goes into the correct gear instantly. 10/10 worth it.

Question about going from Stage 2 to Stage 3.

Have been running Stage 2 for about 5 months and looking for a change. When I flash over Stage 2 with Stage 3... Should I still be doing the same break in I did when I initially flashed from stock to Stage 2?

I don't need to flash back to stock and then Stage 3 correct?

You don't need to flash back to stock & the break in period is only initial flash you can switch between maps freely afterwards.

Let's say I did want to reset the process (start fresh with XHP learning my driving again) after flashing Stage 3.... how would I go about doing so?

Reset adaptations
do not reset the trans adaptions!
Why not?
first off, ZF says not to...

second, xhp even says so...

trans adaptions are for clutch wear etc. it learns slippage and such. resetting it makes it think it has a new or rebuilt trans and can be very bad for the transmission.

absolutely do not reset trans adaptions unless you have a new or.rebuilt transmission.

Ahh I see, good to know. I've been using BM3's adaptation reset I believe it does an idle relearn & only deals with re-adapting dme functions. Not sure why op wants to reset tcu adaptations anyway.. the car adapts to the most used driving style.

This is all correct. Don't reset trans adaptations.

You don't need to redo the "learning" / adaptation when you first install XHP when you just change stage. Also, this is a continuous process, so its not like the car only adapts to what you do the first ~50 miles after. Just keep driving and the car keeps learning. You can think of it like your distance to empty estimates. If you drive hard for 20 miles then start driving on the freeway in eco mode, you can actually see your DTE increase (add miles) even though you are using gas. It's just a rolling average.

Interesting... Anyone play with the latest shift map options? You can now select from presets for both D and S from relaxive+ to neutral to sportive+.

Someone just posted about it in the other XHP thread, but no reports yet of how it works. I am also curious so let me know if you do.
