Control arm / bushing question
Hi there,
I was wondering if you can change Lower / upper control arm bushings themselves or does it need to be a whole new arm? Right hand side a bit bumpy and sloppy steering, think i may need new bushings. Any help appreciated. Thanks |

You can, but the labour costs for pressing out and in new bushes is likely to mean it's cheaper to do the whole arm. Also means you have all new everything then.

Definitely not worth it to press out and replace front control arm bushings. Swap the whole arm with Lemforder or TRW replacements. That way you get brand new aluminum arms and brand new ball joints too. Cost is very reasonable for new arms and labor is less too. Replace in pairs.

The bushings on both front control arms on my f30 started leaking. Bought a pair of TRW arms from autodoc for about £130 delivered.
