E brake light always on???

I have a 2013 bmw 328i. For some reason the parking break light in the dash won't turn off or stop ringing when the parking break is disengaged. This started after reconnecting the battery after installing the Carnaviplayer backup camera which plenty of people have installed on this forum so I'm not sure if it's related to it? When I do pull the e brake up the light flickers once. I checked the service menu in iDrive and everything says its ok. I check the brake fluid and it is filled all the way.

Any ideas?
