Help with ISTA+

Greetings!

I have setup the latest ISTA+, using ENET cable on a new laptop, after my old one died. Both laptops were running Windows 10, and both using the same exact software versions. Difference is, I can not update or do a control unit replacement, and I can't for the life of me figure out what's going on.

The software sees the firmware I have is newer, and does the measures calculation, but the execute measures plan stays grayed out. See attached picture. Same thing when going to replace a control unit.

I have done this install, and have gone over the instructions over and over trying to figure out if I missed a softwareinstall, or step, but I can't see where I have. If anyone has a hint, let me know! I do have the full PSDZData not the lite, so I'm not sure...

Thanks!

I was wondering,

Do I need an icom to do software updates on ISTA on F series now? I did one before on an older (2019 version) so I know it used to work with just the ENET adapter.

Thanks in advance!

Bonus question, do those cheaper icom clones work? I have no problem buying the official one if it gets me access to software and coding new modules access, but if the cheaper ones do this too I'd give it a shot.

Thanks!

Bump

Anyone know of this? I've tried reinstalling the latest software for ISTA+ and full psdzdata and the software update calculates but stays grayed out.

You can not do software updates with ISTA with an enet cable.
At least you need an ENET emulator or something for that. I do not know exactly.
Then you need the SDP-Data and BLP-Data for doing updates.
The SDP-Data are the psdzdata Full but in a special folder.
The BLP-Data are the psdzdata Lite in another special folder.
Then also the programming function has to be activated in the registry for ISTA.

Thanks for the reply!

I know before just using the same cable I have now and an older version (2019) of ISTA it did work. I will look about this change to enable programming, maybe I just have a setting wrong, but I haven't found it yet.

Thanks,
Sean
