IDK man, the timing looks pretty gnarly once you’re up into 4th.
Might have been tq limiter messing with things. This was pre-xhp

Gotcha. I’d get some new 4/5th gear logs just to confirm and peace of mind.

The dyno logs were after this so I think it got cleaned up. I haven't messed with power mods in a while (close to two years) and no issues. Honestly not sure how much longer I'll have the car at this point. Been a little bored with it lately minus road track time. Not convinced I want to invest in PS2 plus hpfp.

Just to clarify, both the dyno and 1/4 mile runs were on the stock fuel system but with a custom tune and not an OTS map correct?

That's correct. Stock turbo, stock hpfp, stock lpfp.

What do you mean? His boost targets are only 15-16.5 psi and actual MAP is around 16psi. That within what a stock EWG FBO cat with catless DPs can hold to redline. Some other custom tunes push even higher, but they may trail down to around the same value. There appears to be even a little more turbo headroom, especially in the higher gears with more load, since WGDC isnt excessively high. The boost targets are modest because its an ethanol tune with stock HPFP. The BM3 stage 2+ E30 maps are targeting 20+ psi and although we still need some f3x stock turbo logs, the M2 logs are showing people holding 19+psi to redline with stock EWG turbo (perhaps manifold at play, need those f3x logs).

It shouldnt be torque limits. Those would close throttle and pull timing evenly across all cylinders. Also, 3rd and 6th would likely have the only torque limits that you would hit with this level of power, and theres no throttle closure in 3rd. The timing corrections in the higher gears are likely just due to octane limitations and the quite aggressive timing targets on the tune, combined with the fact that everything is getting hot by that duration into the run.

He has a different car, you would need to update parameters. Even then, its difficult to compare across cars with VD. It's mostly only useful for back to back logs on the same car under very similar conditions controlling for as many variables as possible. Also, im not getting 400whp in my VD.

I used mine on his which would benefit his numbers... Oh that's right your manual... gotta make a profile for that one... his car is same as mine 335i xdrive Auto... plus he's in the magical place of Florida... only difference would be how much gas and how much he weighs but I accounted for a full tank and 160lbs for driver... don't think it's gonna be much different unless he weighs 260+ and that would only be a gain of 10whp...his peak on smooth 1 was 403 and smooth 2 was 394 .... so it's accurate enough compared to actual dyno... So my car is running good... now who would of thought...lol...

What exactly are we trying to confirm/dispel here? Virtual dyno is accurate/inaccurate? Why not jump on a dynojet and figure out what it's making?

Trap speed normally tells you how much power you make, his timing was pretty damn high at 16ish psi, which is why he's able to hit high 11s at 115mph+ if he has no WGDC or throttle closures then it makes sense.

Agreed on this, and all the VD talk is taking this thread sideways. Altho, EstorilMSport kudos on a stout build all the way back to 2018-19!

To get us back on track, bolt an aftermarket HPFP onto an FBO stock turbo EWG N55, flash this map, and you’re at ~425whp. Add a PS2 after that, and you’re 500+ whp.

100% agree and 100km-200km is even more accurate... 3750 is weight I used in calculator @ 117 with 14% driveline loss = 403whp... inline with dyno... here is calculator... ... Point is for me anyways is this is close enough on VD to tell me how my car is running...thank you for all the info... really appreciate it... I'll move it over to the VD thread...
