How much of you guys came over from a E91? One thing that really annoys me (first world problems coming right up haha!) Is on the E91 when you open your split window with the boot blind closed, it would fire up the side vertical runners, and when you opened the full boot if you pushed the button twice on the fob/boot it would also automatically fire the the blind up the side vertical runners!
Why has this been discontinued for the F31 It was soooooo handy! |

Mine came without the blind, bought one on eBay. I guess it is hard to miss something I didn't have.

Start of week 2 with this car and I'm still really enjoying it. The ZF8 is surprisingly good in sport mode and high speed stability is as good as I remember my E46 being.

I was nervous, but i'm glad I went for it - I love them, shows off the concavity of the wheels really well.

First road trip last weekend, Houston to Enchanted Rock state park. The little Touring eats miles like kids eat candy.

After owning two e91 6MT m-sports over the years, my current f31 is my second. I'm sure a fair number on this board have owned e91 prior to the F31...curious which wagon is preferred.
I like the tech, LEDs and extra space in the F31, but honestly the build quality/solidness, steering feel, THIRD PEDAL, and (I think) exterior styling with shorter overhangs and a steeper rear hatch all contribute to a superior e91 that just looks sportier even when standing still. The N52 sounds better, but is much slower no doubt...probably more reliable being NA over the long term as well. Problem is, a lower mileage m-sport e91 manual is pretty much unobtanium these days, as demonstrated by every 6MT example that comes across BAT. You pretty much need to find one that the owner has no idea what they have - which is tough, as most have landed under enthusiast ownership by this point. Ok stepping off soapbox...just curious if any other f31 owners have thoughts on this. My last e91... The one that started my obsession w/ the brand 10 BMWs ago... Here’s my daily just after applying a ceramic coating. Over 100k miles now and never missed a beat on a recent 5k mile road trip to Cali. I have the f30 MPE rear muffler and notice quite a bit of drone around 2k rpm at light - medium throttle in comfort mode. Wondering if anyone else has that same muffler on their f31 and if that drone is a common thing on the wagon.
