Service interval reminders

How do I( change the service interval reminders that come up on the dashboard. I change my own oil and want reset / change the values.

Mite be in the hidden menu in the dash. Not sure if oil is an option but i know that's where you would go to reset the interval once you swap brake pads. So, hopefully its the same

There's videos on it but basically you just hold the button on the cluster to bring up the service menu on the cluster display. Press the button to scroll and once you find what you want to reset, hold the button button and it will ask "reset?" Press and hold again.

Service menu can be accessed by long press of trip mileage reset button, as mentioned above, there's an option to reset service intervals.
Also BimmerLink now has a feature to reset service intervals.

It can be changed with VO coding. The only reminder I need is a calendar. I change my oil every April. In climates where it goes below freezing in winter you should always do an oil change in the spring, to get rid of the crud that builds up in the crankcase over the winter. If you drive enough to require more than one change per year space them evenly, as in April and October for two changes per year.

Sorry guys. Pressing the trip button only brought up several strange menus that I had no idea about. No familiar terminology. Nothing indicating service intervals!!! More ideas??

The video shows how to tell the car that you just did an oil change, it doesn't alter the service interval. It does get rid of the 'Service Required' message, which is all you really need to be concerned with.

2015 OCI should be 1 yr/10k miles, or around 333 gallons of gasoline.

Maybe OP may want do 6 mths/5k miles mid-OCI, that can easily be done without resetting OCI.

Mine does the same (LCI), no service reset comes up with a long press of the instrument button, just a couple of odd menus.
I have bimerlink and did a brake pad reset with that.

Might be holding it for too long. I made that mistake.

Iirc on 2017 it's a graphic that comes up. Release and tap to cycle, long press to reset.

If you get a menu, maybe 01 02 03, etc, you initially held it down for too long.

This is what I used on my 2016 when I did my oil change last month:

SERVICE RESET (BMW 2011-2018)

1) Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button twice without touching the brake pedal.
2) Press and hold the RESET odometer button until you see a Service Item on the display
(The button is located on the instrument cluster)
3) Press the RESET odometer briefly to scroll the service minders that you want to reset
(This mode allows you to reset the Engine Oil, Brake Pad or Brake Fluid)
4) Press and hold the RESET odometer button until RESET? appears on the display
Keep press the button until Reset mode is appears
5) Release the button and then hold it again to confirm the reset
6) Done!

You can do a reset with the iDrive controller as well.
On the Control Display:
1. "Vehicle info"
2. "Vehicle status"
3. "Service required"
Required maintenance procedures and legally
mandated inspections are displayed.
4. Select an entry to call up detailed information.
5. Reset.
