It's a pleasant shape overall - albeit derivative. You can see a lot of other high end brand designs. The Genesis models are well built but they're not that much cheaper than let's say a BMW. The current 4 cylinder models are in the low $50k. But you get oodles more options. I don't believe this one will be a bargain at all. Just an alternative. I'm not willing to shell out $50-$80K for a Hyundai just yet. As soon as they can make a $50-60K full electric car this size and build quality, I'll be on board.

I personally like the look of the car. It would definitely be something I would consider if it came with a manual transmission. In my opinion, Hyundai / Genesis is on the right track with their designs.

US sadly has a less impressive Genesis Dealer/Service experience compared to Canada.

im still not sold on the new design. its less sporty and more luxury compared to the old models.

was between the 2022 and the 2021 but after seeing both side by side, ended up going with the 21.

Ugh. Just like how the ugly Veloster is sold as a non-ugly, much more practical hatchback in Europe. They even get an N version of it, mechanically identical to the Veloster N, but not ugly. They also have a 4-door coupe version (which is ugly, but still less ugly than the veloster.)

Agreed. Pre-facelift looks like an A4 rip-off from the front, but the rear looks much better. The new rear end just doesn't work for me. Would have been better if they differentiated the G70 more instead of just making it a smaller G80.

Interesting. I really like the look and poise of the current G70, it's very athletic and yet elegant looking from any angle. Very powerful and striking stance. I'm glad to see that the redesign is continuing that design language.

IMO, the G70 is the best looking player in the Genesis lineup. I considered buying one when I got my F30.

The exterior looks amazing but the shape of the front grill is kind of off-putting for me.

Safe to say they are at least going in a good looking direction with design compared to another brand we may all know....

So they went back to their roots and copied Mercedes with no credit given.

Got a set of BBS reps for sale to anyone who likes this car. Looks just like the real thing but lacks the heritage

I rode in a Genesis one time for a Lyft ride and was thinking "what is this car?" I was pretty impressed at the time. For some reason, I had thought they discontinued making them. I like everything about this 2022 except that grill...ugh. It's the angular taper at the bottom. More ovoid would have been a far better aesthetic. I think they were going to the shape of a diamond but ended up with dog booper or clown nose.
