And a significant plus of the different location was we had nice to drive out towards the Dales rather than having to endure the traffic around York!
I also had no side effects second time round, and didnt really do anything different to first time.....
Yes, as a generalisation it seems fewer people experience side effects after the 2nd jab and a fair proportion seem to have no side effects at all after either jab. Wonder if we'll all be called for a booster jab in the autumn with a Covid jab becoming like the annual flu jab?

my 32 year old daughter has now had her first Pfizer jab, she lives in Kirkwall, Orkney and the northern islands are close to being 90% 1st vaccination for 18 and overs

Hoping that any side effects will be no worse than 1st jab, being the wrong side of 60 I don’t have any concerns about AZ issues......
I had my first jab exactly 7 weeks ago on 1st April at one of the local COVID centres, but wasn't given any date for my 2nd. If it was a 12-week wait then I'd be scheduled for around 24th June. Hopefully that'll be brought forward, though given what's going on in Glasgow at the moment I'd happily wait longer if it meant more under-30's could get the first dose as it seems to be the younger groups that are driving increased transmission rates.

I'm 47 and have both jabs.

They were offering me my second appointment after 8 weeks, not because of any new variants but because they were running out of people to vaccinate!

I had a reaction to my second AZ jab on Wednesday - I'd say it was around 1/2 the level of the first one. Cold, headache, generally feeling grotty, didn't sleep well.

No complaints though - I'd rather get a distinct reaction than none at all.

I think mild side or no strong effects is more the norm for vaccination. At least that has been our observation here. There was certainly a share of those with 12-18 hours or up to a day of feeling crummy.

Luckily how you feel is not an inditement of how well the vaccine worked.

Glad everyone is getting vaccinated.

Second jab yesterday AZ. The first jab was like getting hit by a truck, felt a bit dodgy in the early hours of this morning but today has been fine.

Had 2nd AZ jab on Thursday morning, arm felt a bit tender at the needle puncture but I felt ok otherwise woke on Friday morning with mild symptoms of some fatigue and just a hint of headache, today feeling tip top.

Definitely much less in the way of side effects than 1st jab which would align with scientific data which indicates that the older you are the less the side effects

Just glad that I am now fully vaccinated

Second AZ jab at lunchtime today, 8 weeks after the first. Age 51 no underlying medical issues. No side effects at all so far, but too soon to know that I'll get away with it.

About 10 hours after the first jab I became quite tired and was a little jaded the following day. Hope I get away as lightly this time.
