Brake pads are bigger in front?

Hi guys, just added spacers to my vehicle f30, 320i, 2016 and noticed that the brake pads up front are bigger than the back? Wtf is going on? My friend's 330 has bigger brake pads on the rear. Is that normal?

Usually the big brake rotors go in front. Post a picture.
The brake pads are usually the same sizeish

The brake pads in the front should always be larger than those in the rear. The same applies to the rotors. That's because when braking the front brakes do most of the work.

most brake calipers are bigger at the rear? I think my brake calipers are bigger at the front.

Fronts do most of the work braking.

Front is always bigger than the rear. Now when you compare different 3 series models of course there is a difference in size. Bigger engine warrants bigger brakes so your 320 (for example) has 300mm front rotors and 260mm rear then the 340 will have 340mm and 300mm to slow down the car more due to having more power.
