Carbon wrap gear knob
Has anyone tried to wrap their auto gear knob? Looks easy enou
gh to remove but has anyone had good results wrapping the knob with carbon vinyl? Thanks |

Yep, I think one or two have done this including me -

I can't recall exactly, I probably used some 3M double sided tape I had laying around. I do remember that I wrapped a microfibre cloth around the shifter and then used a plastic grip thing to apply pressure to it overnight to make sure it stuck down properly.
Whatever tape you do decide on make sure you apply it in a place where it doesn't partially block the light coming through the areas next to the 'D' 'N' and 'R'. |

Yeah did mine myself a few months ago and it was pretty easy. Also the shift indicator was sticky enough to just put back on again so didn't need any tape or glue for it
