Wax for white car?
Hey all,
Can anyone recommend a decent wax for an alpine white f31? Thinking of going for the Collinite 476S as they say it should last up to 12 months which is pretty good going and I normally try to wax it twice a year. Cheers |

I use griots garage one step sealant to seal and remove micro scratches and then one layer of liquid carnuba wax to ensure coverage

Swissvax have a product specifically for white cars: GLACIER
https://www.swissvax.co.uk/product/g...vol-200ml.html Although I have a white car as well, I have never tried this one. But I am impressed with almost all other Swissvax products I have used so far, especially the waxes.

I know this product is like a glaze that does some polishing. I haven't detailed in a while so I forget how you layer sealants and waxes.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I washed, de-tared, clayed then used Autoglym Super Resin Polish followed by Poorboys Nattys Blue Paste wax. Gave two layers with the wax and pretty happy how it's turned out. A bird crapped on the bonnet a few days ago and rain the following day washed it straight off so the wax has definitely provided a nice layer on the paint work. |

I recommend a quick Meguires Fast Finish as your final step. Did it on my wife's white 228 and son in law's 528 and they still look wet.

I use Claybar, White Light followed by Jet Seal from Chemical Guys. CG says using both with provide 12 months of protection. I am very happy with the results on my Alpine White F30. I had a few people say I never saw a white car with that much shine and depth before. Several of the other recommendations sound good as well.

Collinite 845 is GR8
I just applied a coat of Collinite 845 Insulator Wax to my 2018 blue X3 and 2019 430i xdrive bimmers . Love the results. It is easy to put on as it is applied in a thin coat. I applied over a coat of Mother’s Reflection Car Wax.
I have had GR8 results with the Mother’s but the 845 adds extra gloss. I STRONGLY recommend 845. I estimate that I will get 15 applications out of one bottle. Just warmup by placing the bottle in hot water and shack well. Wallyf |

it's amazing how people still don't know what has the best protection. from longest to shortest durability: ceramic>sealant>wax. at the end of the day first ask what you want out of lsp (last step protection) then better recommendations can follow. |
