So at that budget you're getting garbage but it can still be enjoyable. You should probably review and even try to get rides in other similar cars to assess the wheel rates that give you the ride you want. The Taiwan damper companies you'll likely end up with just slap on shit rates cause they just don't know what they're doing. Ideally you pick shocks that are rebuildable to adjust damping curves to suit your springs and ARBs but that blows your budget in the short term though leaves room for improvement in a year or two.
I actually recommend buying used rebuildable dampers and using the savings to get them tuned to your springs. It will undoubtedly be better than what they ship new. |
